So is Blake Muir going to make the roster and be the best Rookie Offensive Linesman in 49er history?

If anyone wishes to keep up to date with Blake, his original football club here in Australia keeps an online diary for him and his younger brother Sean who is a Junior at Baylor in 2016. Blake is not active on social media.

The online diary is a collection of photos, news links, videos and training information that goes back to 2011. If anyone has any questions I can help direct you to the answers as best as possible.

Nice to have you aboard Peter.
What do you feel are his strengths?
He has had an amazing journey so far.

His athleticism is at the top of the OL position. It was extremely unfortunate that he had a hamstring injury prior to the Baylor Pro Day. Although he had a broad jump of 9'8" and a vert of 32", which are the top of any OL in 2016, he missed out on running a 40 time in the high 4.8 or 4.9 second range officially.
He has started 37 games at 3 different positions LT (12), RT (1), LG (24) and learned 3 different offensive systems, the Run and Shoot, a Pro Style Norm Chow offense and the Briles power spread at Baylor. Games with a high number of snaps and running a lot of no-huddle are things that he is used to. Despite the Briles run game being run particularly tight, I feel that he will play even better in the Kelly spread that uses more outside zone and wider landmarks on inside zone.

They are good stats for a big guy. He has some good experience and sounds like he will work well in Chip's O Line schemes.
He has come in at a good time because it is all new and lets hope he picks it up more quickly then his opposition. Love to see him get some starts in the pre season with a chance of making the 53

It's pretty cool we still have an Aussie connection at the Niners. Looking forward to seeing how Blake goes. Hopefully we'll see him on the field during preseason.

It's also interesting that this new bloke is a contrast to the previous joker. He's young, played the game at the college level, is in the engine room position wise and as already mentioned, comes free of the hype, expectation and media fanfare.
Here's hoping he grafts out a long and successful NFL career.
