This does not equal the best guard in the draft. He is atrocious in pass protection. There are two guards and at least one tackle who are better all around interior players than Garnett. Not to mention he could have been had without wasting a 4th round pick. And before you bring up Seattle and how they were going to draft him, ask yourself where that information came from and opinion from this forum does not count as a legitimate asource

How about this - which one of them worked? Who was picked after one of these ACL picks that is really good and could have helped the team? Add that to going 8-8, then last year, and what is probably going to happen this year, and it doesn't seem to be a great strategy.

This isn't 1972. Players can come back from ACL injuries. There is a long list of healthy players drafted at pick 100 or lower (which all of our ACLs have been, except for Tank) that have yet to contribute within 3 years of being drafted (which is a time frame all of them fall into).

This. The excuse of a loaded roster when drafting guys like this isn't there anymore.

We need too add as much talent as we can but we just add guys who can't even play and hope for the best.

If he will be ready for training camp, I don't see the problem. This pick won't be a redshirt. Are you looking for guys that never had a football injury before?
