No. The guaranteed amount is mostly salary, not a bonus. Whoever trades for him would be on the hook for that though its a moot point because he won't get traded without restructuring his deal.

So Denver would be paying the salary or the bonus, what's to restructure his contract is a bunch of one year deals

They'd be paying whatever the salary amount is which is the vast majority of the total.

Probably just their 3rd straight up.
The Niners should pay half of Kap's salary this year if they are willing to up that to their second round pick
-or-
All his 2016 salary for their 1st round pick.
We have cash, they have the picks. Hmmm, that can not be legal in the rules or you think you would see more teams trying to trade cap space for picks by buying out contracts before trading for more than the player is perceived to be worth.

Maybe it will start a new trend.

I'm gonna say their 3rd round pick + Ryan Clady.
49ers throw in Colin Kaepernick + 6th round pick
Some of us fans might not like Clady because he's injury prone. But Denver has to clear up some cap room somewhere.

Does Clady fit here ... At that price? Can we work things out with AD? Just because they have a need doesn't mean we gotta fulfill itOriginally posted by Kolohe:I'm gonna say their 3rd round pick + Ryan Clady.

Seeing as how absolutely nothing has changed since the trade request started, despite a few tweets that have us on the edge of our seats on a slow news day, I still think they will end up giving their 2nd.
Whether that comes with us paying majority of the salary and throwing in a 5th or 6th, who knows but Elway wants and needs Kap more than we need or want to trade him. Baalke put a 2nd round value on him so until something changes, which it hasn't, Elway will have to ante up or good luck with defending that title with butt fumble

I don't get when people say this. Is their 1st round pick essentially a 2nd round pick? At what point in the rounds are the picks essentially the next round? Are the first few picks of the round essentially a pick from the previous round?

Agreed. If they draft someone with that 3rd round pick, will people say he was "almost a 4th"? Absolutely not, they will call him a 3rd round pick.
Do people say Dalton was essentially a 1st round pick? No. Will people say the 33rd pick this year was "essentially a 1st round pick"? No, they will say "the 2nd round pick out of ::insert college here::"
