The way Denver is set up now they need a lot from their QB to win.
Yeah, but Sanchez is turrible and I think you mean, that Denver doesn't need much from the QB.
Yeah I meant don't

Jason Cole @JasonColeBR
Source indicated that #Broncos have asked QB Colin Kaepernick to take a pay cut to approximately $7M for 2016 season if #49ers trade him.
First on the list of things that won't ever happen.

I'm not saying I am a fan of everything which has gone on with the organization in recent years, but to your point there is a clear anti-existing-49er-regime bias among many fans.
Again, I'm not saying those biased fans are 100% wrong, but they are also not close to 100% right.
Assuming we don't trade Kap, I hope he can get over his butthurt with the organization and use the clean slate he has right now to rebuild his career.
If we do trade him I hope it is for something worthwhile. Don't just give him to the Broncos or whatever team it may end up being.

He will come back from surgery exactly the same as 2014. 1.5 reads, then nerves, then the master of tapdance into pprssure.
Whats not to love.

They want him to take a cut from $11.9M to $7M, not a $7M cut.

I can feel kap was still pain and hurt. I think, kap understand it and chance time. Kap need study playbook and film study. If kap is smart how easy to get score and beat all team. Kap will be happy for earn rich moneys. Or if he dont focus by himself then he will be huge a problem if he choice it died or win that either. I still support you Kap and 49ers!

Was it true that if we did release Kaepernick, we'd take a 7mil Cap it? That might have been before April 1st how ever.
but I'm wondering how much a cap hit would it be now.... because if that did happen, 9ers obviously wouldn't get anything. But if the 9ers pay that 7mill difference (that the Broncos want Kaepernick reduce)... would that be enough for a trade.
again, I try not to post what I want to happen.. but could/would be realistic.

I think it would be just a few million. His total bonus money plus base pay was $14m+ so just the bonus would have been escalated when he was cut.

MM told NFL radio yesterday it COULD be an option for Denver if they wanted to sign him. Prob Jason's "source" lol
He was just talking about moving his bonus money and base pay around to fit him in their team budget for this season IF he was traded.
