Just thought of this:

If the 49ers (or any home team of the SB site) made it to the big game, do you think the NFL would allow them to utilize their special effects?

How awesome would it be if we had the fog horn blasted after TDs? The cannons for the Tampa Bay Bucs?

I think because it's been so damn rare that essentially it's never happened before to even have the home team in the Super Bowl, they should allow it.

It's a legit question that may someday have to be answered.

I kind of doubt they would allow it. Do they even let the stadium's home crew work for the production?

I don't even know how much of a home team advantage there would be, given that they replace the turf and even the crowd would mostly not be home fans. Although using your own lockers would be nice, with the way they take over the stadium you'd likely be forced to practice elsewhere, maybe even have to find a new location for team meetings and film study.

I've been saying that since they brought it in!

the 300 Chant has to go! i get why they do it.

But it doesn't make it a good thing.
