The SB, and a close second would be the playoff game against Atlanta where Hearst got hurt.

It's a toss up between the 2011 NFC champ game, and the 2012 Super Bowl.

This thread is bringing back some depressing memories we should have at least 6-7 Lombardi trophies

1990 NFCCG. Lost Joe Montana to a vicious hit that bruised his sternum, bruised stomach, cracked ribs and a broken hand.
Craig fumbled to give the Giants life. No 3peat. One of the worst late afternoon.

As we drove home from that game, not a word was uttered for hours. Total devastation! I was too "ill" to go to work the next day.

2013 was tough to swallow too. We were on a roll in the playoffs and then had to lose the way we did in addition to losing Bowman.

I was at the Stick for the 1990 NFC title game. One of the worst days ever for me. Not only did the Niners lose a chance at a historic 3 Peat but it was the end of an era. Ronnie Lott and Rodger Craig played their last game with the team and it was Joe's last meaningful appearance as well. If Craig doesn't fumlbe and Joe doesn't get hurt the Niners likely win 3 in a row and history is so much different.
The SB loss hurt but I put that pretty far behind this one.

Lock This MotherLover thread up!! Of course its the 1990 NFCCG vs the Giants. All Craig has to do is hold onto the ball 3 straight runs with 2:43 on the clock and up 13-12 and the 49ers are going to the 3rd straight SB, IDK if they would have beat that Buffalo Team but it would have been a DANDY!

agreed, i remember i really thought we will beat SEA at their home
I wonder if wining a ring in either 2011, 2012, 2013 would mean that Harbs is still here
