Chip Kelly's Coaching Staff Hires Are Head Scratchers

I was hopeful that we might land Sean Payton or Adam Gase, but I was okay with the Chip Kelly hire. But I'm struggling to understand some of his coaching staff choices. An OC who was a running back coach of a team near the bottom in rushing? A DC who was the coach of an awful team near the bottom in defense? A Tight Ends coach who has been a running backs coach his entire career? Can anybody share some insight into what Chip Kelly's rationale was for hiring some of these coaches, and why they might end up being good choices for the 49ers? I need to have a glimmer of hope. I'm not seeing it from the outside looking in.

Kellly wanted staff from philly and vrabel as DC but both of those fell through.

We just took who was left. Some of these hires are pathetic.

Here we go again. I suppose you would have been happy with last year's staff then.
