That is what they are pitching to Philly reportedly. Would mean the WCO is really back.

Ian Rapoport @RapSheet
The #49ers have requested and received permission to speak with former #Giants coach Tom Coughlin, source said. He talks to #Eagles tonight.

Coughlin is the proven, skins-on-the-wall candidate for a few teams. Doesn't mean he's the favorite but SF obviously open to more than Hue.

Maybe 49ers are looking to find any dirt they can get on NYG so they can turn around and tell Hue all about it.

Smart move. This is our "eff you" to NY for wanting to now interview Hue.
Bring in McAdoo...WCO stays intact.

I would be ok with Coughlin... is this a 49ers negotiating ploy though?

No interview set btw 49ers,Tom Coughlin at this time but could happen in Houston. NFL owners will be there tomorrow for LA-related meetings.

Hmmm... I kinda like this move. He is old but he still can coach, he is relevant in today's game, plus he brings in leadership we are missing. Also, if he does bring in Mcadoo to groom him as the next coach then I'll be extremely happy. We need continuity.
