last in the league for points scored in total and lowest in the league for average points scored per game.
that stat has not changed for months.....
I would have to therefore say it needs to be the OL

Elite defense and good offense will win championship. It's not realistic to have elite of either every year. The model for being consistently good, playoff caliber every year is to have a good qb and oc/hc on offense. With the rest of the guys with good talent at wr, te, rb, and online.
On defense, it's simple, must replenish with good talent every year.
Walsh said you can teach offense , but you need talent on defense. I take it to mean, he can make it work with a few average players on offense, but his defense will absolutely get exposed if he has a few average players on it.

Elite coaching, offense, then defense...
I want to know that we'll be able to put up points against a strong / elite defense. In our glory days, we had great defenses, but it was our elite QBs, WRs and offense that shined.
Last year, an elite defense got torched in the SB against an elite QB & coach that had to make do with (only one elite TE) and average WRs.

elite defenses win championships
so thats easy as long as the goal is to win championships
elite defense makes any offense as long as they arent complete garbage a legit contender. cant say the same for elite offenses.

This time around I would rather see the O be elite
At least you have a chance to win
Defensive rules favor the O currently

The D is closer so I vote that direction for now. However I do miss having a dynamic offense, and it would be nice to return to that type of team. Really though, it's probably a balance between the two that is in the best interest of the team.
