Nothing will improve until Baalke is gone--or relieved of some of his control over personnel. The new coach will have to accept zero personnel control and that will leave the team with some retread, get ready for more of the same.

Baalke and York controlling things is still a dumpster fire. It could certainly lead to many more disasters in the future. This is certainly not a fixed team to just replace a fall guy head coach. Their hand picked perfect replacement head coach BTW.

out to Notre Dame LB Jaylon Smith...injury looked similar to Nick Chubb's.

Well whoever the next coach is he is not gonna be stupid thinking he's gonna have complete control of this team. So you have to assume that if a big name coach even considers the Niners he's gonna ask for Balkkee to keep his nose out of his team.

John Middlekauff @JohnMiddlekauff
Bottom line with Tomsula, he ratted for years on Harbaugh to the front office. I feel ZERO compassion for this situation.

But to be clear, no final decision has been made on Tomsula by #49ers
And TBF, we've all been lead down this rabbit hole before where NONE of rumors turned out to be true.

Like Nolan, Singletary and Harbaugh, he'll probably get the first pick in the 2nd round.
And Baalke will do what we can to get him his guys like with the previous two.
Hope this marriage works out!

But the 49ers are a weird organization and all top candidates know this. Kelly/Payton/Shaw will want personnel power and that's all Baalke.
