It's pretty bad when a player who is extremely concussion prone is out-hitting the entire defense.

Yeah basically. Fangio had a lot of backups playing last year and our defense was still top 10.
The truth is we have a weak coaching staff but everyone knows it.

To everyone - missed tackles should be a stat in the NFL.
It'll make it very obvious who's doing well and who's not cutting it.

a missed tackle that has the player interfered by a block should not be counted, but sure as s**t one on one missed tackles should.
the argument that the NFL player is bigger faster stronger more agile don't wash - cause you can say that about the defence players as well a the attacking players.
its the technique, with the desire to make the play of the week tape of big hits mentality. something the NRL drummed out of its players a long time ago. now its about stopping the player and wrapping him up.
never thought I would say that the NFL could learn something from the NRL but there I just did
not just the 49ers either, watching the other teams I see at least 10 plus one on one missed tackles every game.

I can't believe we went from sound, fundamental, text-book football to piss poor nothing

I'm sorry but I think Ward, Brock and Acker blow. Cromartie and Johnson are better and we refuse to play them. Mind boggling.

Yeah, they finally pulled Acker and put him in second half.

But why, after cromartie plays so well against Atlanta, do they go back to Acker. Because the coaches are dumb?

This. They need to hire someone to introduce the concept. Tackling, not "hits".
They need someone who is good at tackling to show them the tricks. I know a guy who is signed up who could help them
