Today I tried e-mailing the 49ers though the contact us page on their website. I was requesting a refund or reimbursement for the money I spend for the DirecTV Sunday Ticket. When I go to submit my e-mail I keep getting an error message it will not let me submit my e-mail. Not sure if anyone else has tried to e-mail them and had similar issues. Please let me know if you have.
Also I would like to encourage other people in my situation who pay for every NFL game when they only really want to watch one team play to submit similar request. One it is unfair to ask someone to pay for an entire package when they only really want one item from that package. Also it is unfair that I am paying a decent amount of money for a substandard product. If I were to go to a movie that I didn't like in most cases I would get a refund or at least a coupon for a free or discounted ticket for the next movie I went to see. I feel like the NFL should be held to this same standard of customer service.
You're one of those dudes who goes to a restaurant, orders the food, eats everything and then goes to the manager demanding a refund because the food was terrible aren't you?
If you have an issue with Sunday Ticket, take that up with DirecTv.
Actually I never return a meal I don't like. Even when I found a piece of metal in my food I just let waiter know and asked for a new plate. They took the meal off the check on their own but I never asked. I don't feel DirecTV is at fault for how bad the 49ers and should not be held accountable for the refund. As for having to pay for all the games they get around that by saying you only do pay for one team and get rest for free. It's BS but how do you fight that?
It would be one thing if I lived in market and got to watch the games on local televsion every week but I pay $360 a year just to watch this team play. Season ticket holders pay even more to see this team play but at least they have the option of re-selling tickets (if they can), to get reimbursed some of the money they laid out.
I don't expect this team to win every week or this season many games but I don't believe it is too much to ask to for some excitement in a game. When you get excited that the offense didn't go 3 and out but actually ran several plays before they punted it is sad. This team is boring and noncompetitive in almost every facet of the game.
Ownership and management mishandled coaching staff & player staff. If Jed truly wants to be held accountable he can start by refunding my Sunday Ticket costs.

OP: so if the Niners had got to the playoffs, you wouldn't have minded Jed sending you an additional bill to cover that?

Simple answer. Stop paying. Nobody is forcing you to buy Sunday Ticket. There is never a guarantee that a team will do well, teams go up and go down all the time, I'm sure Ravens fans aren't thrilled about the year that their team is having. Fans constantly buy tickets to go to games of losing teams. If you don't like the product, stop supporting it in the future.
A key phrase to remember is "caveat emptor." Buyer assumes the responsibility in most cases.

Good grief, first thinks 49ers are the relevant entity to complain about Sunday Ticket package, and then doubles down on stupid by saying Niners should refund him because they suck. On the idiocy ladder this is BARELY one rung above those who think 49ers should refund their SBL's.
OP was creative, got to give 'em that.
...hmm, yeah, I was going more with woefully uninformed.

Yeah, and I want a refund for any 49er memorabilia purchased this year, as obviously the management doesn't care.
I want a refund for my time watching any 49er game, because management doesn't care.
Anyone who went out to a sports bar to watch the game should be reimbursed for food and drink, as it would have been cheaper to stay at home.
Please forward all of your reimbursement requests to 49er law firm of Dewey, Cheatem, and Howe.
Dude, you really want to voice your opinion, don't buy tickets. Just because the team you like sucks, doesn't mean you are owed anything. If that was true, look at all of the refunds other teams would owe their fans, starting with teams without any superbowls or even division championships. Lions fans, check your mailboxes for your rebates.

I dont think the OP was really expecting a refund. I like the fact he or she is drilling home the point the dissatisfaction of fans. I applaud this poster and shame on anyone jumping to ridiculous conclusions or assumptions on how this person goes about their personal business.

Should I write the 49ers and ask them to cover my $1400 on 49ers over 6.5 wins? I was misled by ownership in the off season. They told me it was a reload and not a rebuild. Jed York said 11 wins.
How is this my fault!!??

Foresight is what you need. I've had the Sunday ticket for about 15 years. I didn't grab it this year because I knew this team would be a s**t show. Granted I am moving to a different city right now and changing cable providers and that played into my decision. But if I felt the team would be better I would have still got the ticket.

I have to say this is the only thing I miss about the losing years under Nolan and Dingleberry are threads like this one. You know the kind where you should not have mouth full if soda when you read it.
