Our GM's role model is Bill Parcells.... That's an insult to our legacy right there....

SF at Indy 40-21 box score 2001
I was at this game. Amazing and dominant performance. Not the most talented team. But certainly very well coached. Averaged 26 points per game, 3rd in the NFL.
Picked off Manning 4 times. Scored 4 offensive touchdowns.

The basis of the WCO.....I'm not gonna lie I really miss it. There's a bunch of ways to win football games, but this is the way I love.

Haven't had a top 10 offense since 2003. Crazy.

I miss the Mike Shannahan attacks....plus we had coach Mckittrick who could whip an offensive line into shape and always put a quality line on the field .......coach Foerster is the weak link on our coaching staff IMO , Steve Logan a close second

1. get rid of Balkee and his Bill Parcell loving out of town!
2. bring in Holmgren to GM here and start building a BILL WALSH type of team.
It kills me that the Seachickens are winning with the 49er's blueprints.
In his book Win Forever, Carroll mentions that Bill Walsh imparted to him a philosophy on quarterbacking that struck a chord, and he's followed it ever since. "We talked a lot about the quarterback position. Coach Walsh was one of the great quarterback gurus in the history of the game, and he convinced me that everything a coach does in designing his offense should be about making it easy for his quarterback, because his job is so difficult. He believed that everything should be be structured with the quarterback in mind."

1998 marked the end of the dynasty and was our last championship caliber offense but 2000-2002 with Owens and Garcia were good years offensively
