Yes, for two reasons.
1. Kap needs to get his head right
2. Gabbert may not be good enough to win a game but I guarantee he'll hit the simple gimme plays that Kap is blowing
gabbert got the alex smith treatment in jacksonville, he might be better than we think. there is something wrong with kap mentally i think. whatever it is something made him regress badly the last couple games. give kap one more game next week, but if he cant score by halftime, its time to give someone else a chance
gabbert had no line, no receivers and horrible coaching in jax. atleast we have a couple decent receivers and a few decent linemen. i just think for whatever reason, kap is scared and unfocussed. like he doesnt want to let loose. id have to imagine gabbert has been chomping at the bit to start again, dude was a top ten pick for a reason, lets see what he can do with us before we right him off. if kap is a true leader he'll take it as motivation and step up to take his job back, if he doesnt step up, hes just not our guy. simple as that
Amen!!!!! Cant use his jax years to criticize him now. Hell for all we know he might save the season. Theres a reason he was kept around.

You also gotta wonder....
Kap has looked bad in pre-season and in the season.
Gabbert has looked good in pre-season and ???? In the season
If Gabbert comes in and plays far better at the basics than Kap (and Kap is indeed failing at the basics), then you gotta assume that the coaches helped Gabbert improve.
And if they could help Gabbert improve, why couldn't they do the same for Kap? Then your answer to that question has to be that Kap cant be the type of QB needed in the NFL.

i didnt think he looked bad at all in preseason even though he was playing scrubs. cant possible be any worse, not like kap is lighting it up. i feel like we havent seen a touchdown in a month

Definitely start Gabbert right away. As far as I am concerned, the season is over, this team is not going anywhere the way it is. At least play Gabbert and hopefully he can play something that at least half resembles quarterbacking to keep this team together. You carry on with Kap, it will only continue to nose-dive. Kap is already broken and is totally lost. At this juncture, you got to worry about the rest of the offense. May be Gabbert can stabilize things a little and at least keep the guys going until the end of the season.

Backup QB is always the most popular player on the team. Kap does suck though

108.8 QB rate in the 3 pre-season games he played. Compared to Kap's 47 QB rate.

No.
I want to see Kap get it together or break. Gabbert is a lost cause.

The fact that the coaches are taking the game out of Kaps hands two games in a row already lets us know that Gabbert will probably start very soon. They don't even want to call a pass play because they don't think Kap will execute it even if the primary route gets open.

I don't think Gabbert is our solution but he will make Offense much better than Kap.

I fail to see how he could do worse.

We don't know what we have in Gabbert the Jax team was worse than this one. Kap is done he won't even pull the trigger now. There is literally no reason not to start Gabert

Exactly!! Kaps ass needs to sit and watch until he stops thinking about whether he should turn his hat sideways for an interview. Dude has no pressure about possibly losing his job.
