How do you fix this?

When Tomsula said his way to fix the offense was no changes in personnel or scheme, he lost me. He wasted this week. This week should have been a win. The defense dominated. Any offense and we win. He came out ultra conservative with quarterback runs and out routes and stuffed up the middle when the other team was playing nine in the box. Zero innovation. Zero attack. Zero touchdowns. And he lost the players. They're not buying the scheme. They're not buying him. You can't play offense scared. You have to get the ball down field. You need speed. You need explosion.

Bench Devey and Pears. Their run blocking is terrible, and their pass blocking is even worse.
Their performase is even worse than Rachal´s.

Tomsula will just ride the same train..He in incapable of adjusting or making personnel/scheme changes. He has no testicles. He is just a body on the sidelines and that's it. He is in way over his head. This is all on Trent Baalke and Jed York. Kaepernick and the oline stays put until Baalke tells him to change it.

Take a deep breath, start looking toward the draft and stay the hell away from power rankings.

Honestly, I don't think anybody else they plug in there would be worse than what we've seen through the first four games. Try out Thomas at RG and Brown at RT and let's see what these young kids can do. Devey and Pears are awful.
The Packers didn't step on the pedal, they coasted.

And you think the current coaching staff has done better? ...or will do any better?
Let's see where they stand by the bye week!

1. Playcalling needs to focus on quick passes and the run game
2. We need to make some changes on the OL. Our young guns can't possibly be any worse. Maybe move Alex Boone to RT?
3. QB change? Not sure this will make much of a difference, but it may be time...

Our best offensive year in well over a decade was prob 2012 and we prob werent ranked much higher than 20th. The read option's novelty was the only reason we were even ranked that high. We are 49ers and we have been terrible at offense for way too long.
To your point, I think the 49ers need to get back to the WCO, which is not the same as abandoning the emphasis on having a strong running game and a strong defense.
At Tomsula's introductory presser where Baalke says "they're going to run" (or something to that effect).
Which is ridiculous, it's like "No S*** sherlock." All teams that want to be good are good in the running game, but you have to be able to score points at the same time and put your foot on the neck of your opponents. You do that with a potent offensive system that moves the ball at will. Building that is easier said than done and is a much longer process than one year.
Part of the reason we suck now (beyond bad coaching) is recent bad drafting coupled with bad draft positioning because we were good and the chickens are now coming home to roost.
While we've clearly regressed, teams like the Raiders sucked and were in great position to grab cornerstone players (Carr, Cooper, Mack, etc.) so they will be good in the near future. Beyond getting a good coaching staff, we need to capitalize on good draft positioning to pick the right players in order to rebuild the team as quickly as possible. Even if we have good draft positioning, it won't matter if we continue to draft bad players.
I don't know that Kap is our guy for the future, even if we land Goff or whoever else, without a good O-Line and a good system we'll still be in the same boat as we are now: floundering with no apparent direction, or at least no positive direction.
As has been noted this downfall did not start over night and this ship is not going to fixed over night either.
