What was the most common passing formation I saw today? Three wide with Garrett Celek, Blake Bell, Anquan Boldin, and Torry Smith. Otherwise known as one fast guy and three 4.85 40s. Our Super Bowl year we had tremendous success in the same formation. Difference? The tight ends were Vernon Davis and Delanie Walker and wideouts were Randy Moss and a pre-ACL Crabtree. The tight ends were fast enough to be wideouts.

Meanwhile, we traded Derek Carrier and shelved a healthy Busta Anderson on IR.

And gotta love when it's 3 wides that 2 of them + TE run 4 yd hitches, stationary/facing QB with little chance for any YAC, and then the other WR is running the same ol' low--pct sideline route. Some people think by having all the receivers out there the Niners are being "advanced" or "creative", but in how they're actually used shows just how remedial this offense is.

This is on the coaching staff not helping the offense at all. We will see if there are any changes very soon
