Those saying firing Harbaugh is the answer we're off to a bad start need to revisit last season...with all the vets and his high-priced coaching staff the team stumbled to an 8-8 finish. JH did a lot in his 4 seasons, but the decline started last year. It's totally unfair to condemn Tomsula and his staff after just 3 games. I don't like the fact they got blown out in consecutive games, either, but it's way too early to give up the ship. Those who are throwing up their hands are fairweather fans...it's a long season, and while our guys have looked pretty bad the last 2 games, there are 13 more to go. I'm not giving up on the team at this point...BL is we're 1-2 just like the Rams and 'Hawks are.
So what will you say if Rodgers hangs another 40+ points on the team this weekend? If this team gets thrashed like that again, you won't be able to defend Tomsula, his staff, or the team for not even being remotely competitive. Hell, even the Bears with ZERO offense kept the game close against the Seahawks in Seattle for a time. I like the sentiment, but this team needs to show some heart and some semblance of smarts this weekend for me to give them any credit.
In the Cardinals last Super Bowl season, they gave up 56 points earlier in the season and then suffered embarrassing blowouts to end the year, losing at home 35-14 against Minnesota, and then 47-7 against New England.
Teams can turn things around. I've seen it way too many times to start jumping to conclusions now, because plain and simple, no matter what we think on either end, there are reasons to believe it could go either way, so we'll have to be patient, even though we can't help that we're not.
We just don't know right now. Give it time.
I admire your patience guys. I am just hoping the Niners can come out with something different to make this a competitive NFL matchup. Watching another blowout would be ridiculous.
