LOL.
You do realize that Harbaugh is a real coach that gave us 3 spectacular seasons prior to going 1-2 for the first time?
You do realize that when we LOST those games we started out AHEAD and were winning by almost double digit numbers and still lost? We've just gotten our s**t pushed back in and gotten blown out a combined almost 100 points in 2 games.....
Losing to the bears last year was wayyy worse than either of the losses this year. For starters, have you compared the two rosters?
Also we lost to a horrible bears team giving up 21 unanswered points in the 4th quarter in our stadium opener. We only scored 3 points the entire second half. That was one of the most embarrassing games in regular season franchise history.
What do you think Harbs would have done with this roster and this schedule? We will never know for certain, but we do know that Harbs managed the same record at the same point in the season with a much better roster, and a much easier schedule. Thats Fact.
People are over reacting. Its as simple as that.
The Bears game was worse and MORE embarrassing than getting blown out blatantly and CONVINCINGLY these past 2 games?
More embarrassing than our starting 3rd year QB throwing 2 pick 6's to start the game? FINISHING the game with almost as many INT's as completions??
This is who we are. the first game on MNF was a f**king 1 night stand. a tease. these 2 games may very well be an indication of who we are. Kaepernick is in his 3rd year as a starter and is looking like a deer in the headlights. Our defense looks like swiss cheese and every coaching position is basically filled with yes-man's or people with an awful track record that have been fired.
no, people's reacting is validated. but at the same time are we really surprised? Based on what you've seen look me or whoever else in the eye and tell me or them what makes you optimistic about the team. do we look like a playoff team?
If you thought this was a playoff team heading into the season, i hate to tell you, but that's the reason why you are reacting the way you are. If anyone truly deep down believed this was a playoff caliber roster heading into the season, then they were fooling themselves. Sure we as fans all hope for the best, but ultimately the real games come.
We are likely in for another brutal game this week, but we will see how the team reacts at home. I didn't see the team "quit" as many are saying. I watched the whole game. I saw a young team get smacked in the mouth by a possible juggernaut that they didnt have an answer for. They reacted poorly to the situation, and ultimately dug themselves into a bigger hole than they needed too. Now they need to learn from it.
Lets face it. Harbaugh took over a team that was used to losing. And he made them winners. I credit him that. But He had an incredibly stacked roster. That roster was hungry for, and capable of, wins. Harbs just had to lead them.
Tomsula has to do pretty much the exact opposite with the exact opposite. Most of the players on this roster werent around when Nolan or Singletary were. They arent used to losing. They are used to winning. But the talent level is not capable of beating the best teams in the NFL. Tomsula has to take a young roster that has just been desimated to loses in the off season and he has to continue to win. These guys don't know how to lose either, so he also has to teach them how to adjust and react to losses. He has to teach them how to lose in a sense.
And yes. The bears game was FAR more embarrassing than either of the last two games.
