Yup, it's a tough balancing act between covering the receiver and turning your head to track the ball. Brown is very craft, in addition to being extremely quick and elusive. Just a great player took young Acker to school, and Big Ben was dropping dimes all game long. Made DHB look like a competent receiver lol.

the DHB TD was a play that was just maddening to me

safeties already were beaten badly
but for dhb to just run past reid and bethea completely misjudging that speed, was cringeworthy

it was a straight line run iirc by DHB, and theres no way he should ever get that open. hes a one-trick pony and he just beat two of our safeties for an easy TD

its interesting, because brown basically does not give away the location of the ball, and instead adjusts at the last second, on at least two of the catches he made. our corners coudlnt watch the ball and basically played brown and not the ball, and that last second adjustment caught them offguard badly.

Brown is the closest thing to Jerry Rice that exists in today's NFL. His route running, his cutting ability, adjusting to the ball in the air, are absolutely in the highest echelon. He's not the fastest guy but he's so smooth out on the field that he can eat up huge chunks of turf pretty quickly.

Sometimes you get your ass kicked by great players, it happens. Clearly the team has work to do but a lot of the panic and hand-wringing is just way over the top.

the hand-wrangling and panic comes from people who really don`t understand the game and who only want "instant-gratification"....they lack football knowledge. The Coaches will get it right and if Mangini does not get it right make no mistake He will be shown the door.
