Remaining starters from 3 recent Super Bowl Teams:
2012 Giants (4): Eli Manning, Will Beatty, Victor Cruz, Jason Pierre-Paul
2013 Ravens (5): Joe Flacco, Marshal Yanda, Kelechi Osemele, Terrell Suggs, Courtney Upshaw
2013 49ers (7): Colin Kaepernick, Bruce Miller, Vernon Davis, Joe Staley, Alex Boone, NaVorro Bowman, Ahmad Brooks
The idea that our roster turnover is unprecedented and catastrophic is pure garbage. This is what happens in the NFL. The only loss that doesn't figure into this equation is Borland, as he obviously wasn't on the team for that Super Bowl.
We'll remain competitive. Next man up.

The Giants haven't been back in the playoffs since losing all that talent.
The Ravens have been up and down.
The Ravens have been up and down.

Yeah.....I get your point, but ideally you don't want all that turnover to be, you know, in one season.

Very true...but that's exactly what happened to all three. Hopefully, we can make the playoffs right away like the Ravens and NOT be the Giants. BTW: Ravens have lost a ton of players since then too.

So you're saying the QB needs to be protected for a team to be successful?

on multiple occasions. real stomach punch not getting AT LEAST 1 in those 3 years where they were so close and then having last year derailed with injuries and drama. to be honest, i still had high hopes of them competing this year for a SB (so much so i was going to throw a good amount down on them at 65-1 odds for SB)...but you know what knocked the wind out of my sails .... wah wah

I hear that. TBF I still think there are about 25 teams that would take Brooks/Lynch --- Bowman --- Moody/Wilhoite --- Harold/Lemon

HC? Not sure...lots of turnover with coordinators and position coaches though.

you are right...i think i just need to see it first before i get my hopes up, . too many unknowns at this point, but yes on paper it has the potential to still be very good: will Bowman return 100%, will Lynch be healthy , will Moody carry over his impressive TC play to the regular season and can Harold have an impact as a rookie. I like/love the potential based on what i have heard, but i need to see it to make me feel better.
