If plays are snapped with 15+ sec. left on the clock, I may have a stroke.

Hopefully we wont wait until week 3 of preseason to allow Kap to get comfortable in the offense to do this:
Although if the O-line struggles early and Kap gets a sack, I'm thinking the coaching staff will pull him early.

Didn't we go like all PS last year with no TD's or something?

Wow I was not aware of that, then again I don't keep track of TD's and other stats in the Preseason. Tell you one thing, the offense will be a lot better now that Crabtree is gone.

Have they tried a fade to the corner of the EZ yet?

I will...shed a happy tear. The entire fan base may need to have a moment of silence.

I agree with both you and SofaKing...it should be somewhere in between this year.
Why? B/c we are installing new offensive and defensive systems and need to get sharp with those. In short, we should see lots of stretch runs, short passes out of the backfield, a few deep bombs, TE's targeted and some pressure from the defense and lots of nickel and dime sets.
What new offensive system are we installing?
I was under the impression that we were tweeking the existing system to better utilize the strengths of the players, mainly Kaep and changing the verbiage....
The play calling system is new....Geep is still trying to figure out if he wants to be down on the sidelines or up in the sky box. We're installing a new zone blocking scheme. Also, the new passing offense finally uses horizontal passing and passes out of the backfield as primary receivers or outlets along with vertical stretches now. Lots of things to work on. The playbook and terminology has also been streamlined to the players strengths and CK will now be the lone voice in the huddle. QB-C exchanges, etc. Lots of stuff to nail down and clean up.
This isn't the Gore up the middle for 2 yards on first down and 2 incomplete sideline go-routes on second and third downs-offense anymore.

Jeff, i have posted that half a dozen times in multiple threads....if kap doesn't get a lot of work in in PS, then JT failed. Somehow i think JT feels exactly that way. It was criminal last yr and previous couple that kap got so few snaps in PS. I couldn't believe last yr when harbaw was so concerned about which QB was our #2 instead of giving kap most of the snaps. New coach, new philosophy: Keep your eye on the ball, and let the guys practice who will be starting. Sure, look for the few slots left to see some action, but basially this reconstructed team needs one helluva lot of practice time. And if kap goes down for the season, well blaine either wins the non elite games or he doesn't, Meantime we got 22 guys to get ready to play together who have not prior to this TC and Ps. They all need the practice together, everyone on the starting D and Starting O. I don't expect to see otherwise.
That was 100% HaRoman. In their college offense and play calling system, the QB is merely a puppet and a small extension of the offense to balance out the power running game. So why would a QB need game-reps in pre season? Just be the good soldier and execute the play when ordered.

Pre-season is only good for evaluating individual players, not what the team's performance will be once the real games start.
I couldn't care less about the preseason W-L record but how the team looks. Last year the preseason record was 2-2, but it might as well been 0-4 because the first team offense looked like garbage. The team was SLOW and the play-calling was uninspired.

When Kap has an average amount of time in the pocket, he's as good as the best QBs. Last year in preseason Kap almost got murdered in one of the games due to the garbage o-line.
