As the new 49ers players have chosen their jersey numbers, I know many of us couldn't help but remember some of the greats of the past. There were a lot of tough SOBs on the great 49ers teams of old. I'm curious, who were your all-time favorite toughest, gutsiest players who always showed incredible heart in their game?

For me? I'll just list my #1, and my all-time favorite 49er player.

1. Steve Young - Among the many great memories, I will never forget that comeback down 21-0 against Cincy where Young, with basically one leg, put the team on his back for a 28-21 comeback win.
1994 vs the Lions is considered the game in which inspired the 49ers to win the whole thing that year.
