So does anyone know which type of offense we are going to run?

We'll be running the Tomsula "A Little Running and a Little Passing" system.

I'm pretty sure they are gonna keep the WCO verbiage already installed.
As far as chryst last time as an OC, it was under Mike Riley in SD. Riley is considered a WCO guy.
Thanks. I never bothered to find out what verbiage HaRoman used.

Just look at the core strengths that Harbaugh got away from and that will give you your answer.

I swear to God. If i never see that again i will be a happy man. That made me want to kick puppies

I'm more concerned with playcalling than what they call the offense. I'm hoping for a more upbeat, quick offense...but it's a long time before training camp!
Obviously we can only speculate but even MM/MB have stated that they expect the same verbiage/system for the most part. According to NFLN, Chryst stood up last year and stated that we weren't using CK to his best abilities and that we were getting away from our ID (safe to say, that's something we ALL agreed on last year and something Jed just stated as well). Logan comes from a traditional WCO system (BW) where the QB's feet are tied to the WR routes and precision (exact location of passes) are practiced until perfection and automatic (snaps under center vs. CK in shotgun on every snap); it also places a large emphasis on getting the ball out under 3 seconds, utilizing RB's as primary receivers (Miller, Hyde/Bush/Hunter) as outlets and puts more responsibility on the QB if there is a blitz. Logan will be working with CK directly and drawing up the passing game plans each week while Foerster, the running game plans. Logan also likes mobile QB's and and likes to stretch the field (welcome, Torrey Smith!). Also, right off the bat, he seems like he'll be an excellent game planner (see, his assessment on how to beat Seattle). The other thing that will fit nicely into this more traditional WCO is the addition of Chris Foerster and Eric Wolford where we can expect a zone blocking scheme implemented (vs. power run). This fits the experience AND strengths of Hyde/Hunter/Bush and even CK on the read option and designed naked bootlegs off tackle. My impression is we'll finally attack the middle of the field more and utilize the full 53.3 yard width of the field as well as stretch it and keep the defense off balance. I think we'll still be a heavy run offense but just more balanced inside/outside and significantly better with a well-balanced complimentary passing game.

When Jed said "got away from our core strengths", the talking heads in the media assumed he meant pre-Harbaugh.
He didn't. He meant 2012.
Power running. Play action. Some Pistol. Deep routes with speed receiver to open space underneath. Amid all the BS in the media, Jed was RIGHT. Question him for his decision making all you want, but he was absolutely correct about the offense last year.

That's the way I saw it as well. We didn't have to get away from our ID. We needed to do a better job of targeting success on first downs and keeping defenses off kilter. Instead, we became more and more and more predictable. And then we went full Spread-offense out of nowhere. Just no balance whatsoever. All-or-nothing extremes.

It's funny how most people think the WCO was a "Gee, let's pass a lot to short routes" offense. You point out the factor that I believe CK needs the most and JH may not have considered important...timing routes with QB drops. If a QB can take 3 and 5 step drops with precise timing, and the receivers are committed to being at a given spot on time, the WCO is so QB friendly. In your head--slowly say..."1, 2, 3, look, look, look" (2-3 seconds)...and you have the amount of time it took Walsh's QBs to locate three options and release to the most open guy. Presnap reads are obviously important in this process, which CK may or may not be able to do well...darned if I know after the confusion of the offense last year.
I'm hoping T Smith helps a lot by forcing the D to play deep. It seemed like teams were covering short routes and were able to stick with receivers until their pass rush put pressure on CK and forced him out of the pocket...then they had flipped the odds in their favor. Chryst and Logan need to take advantage of the offenses advantages...instead of being predictable and slow. Not sure I like the Chip Kelly approach for an entire game, but vary the speed and count more...and shoot the first OLman who jumps offsides!

Hope you're right Marvin. That offense in the second half of 2012 was incredible. Hell even the first half with Alex was awesome. We have the pieces at RB and WR to do it. I think it mostly depends on how the line does.

I forgot that point as well. I also read or heard in an interview that Geep/Logan like to change the pace of the game by going to no-huddle as well and that we won't be snapping the ball at 1 second anymore.

And Baalke lies to the media at every turn so 40 pass attempts a game sounds about right.
