Like the signing. Finally a rb with better than 4.5-4.6 speed. Wether we pass little to rbs compared to other teams, we will still use him. If he can return punts that's great as well

i don't mind the signing so much and it could be good for us if reggie can stay healthy
Interesting that Alex also refused to check down to RBs in the Harbaugh era, and now its all he does.

I wonder what Jarryd Hayne is thinking now....a roster spot he could've had if he joined Detroit, could take his spot now on this team.
It seems for sure he is going to redshirt this season...if he makes the team. I don't know if he will convince the coaches to win a special teams role.

He must not have drawn much interest from other teams if he is willing to take the #3 role here. Nice that he can be insurance as a returner though.
Yea if we ever start throwing to our rbs

If you consider Smith, the probable use of Ellington in the slot this year and now Bush in a supplemental role, and the hopeful return of form of VD this offense has the potential to go from plodding to explosive.

Bush is 30 and nearing the end of his career. I'm sure we offered more money than New England, we have a lot more cap room. Bush probably went to the highest bidder, and given his career is almost over it's not surprising. Harvin, though... really puzzled why he'd go to Buffalo.

This, coaching has to make it happen and put these players in position to succeed

Reminds me of the Brian Westbrook signing. Hopefully he blends well into the passing game and can help us when these field position battles again on returns.

I really hope Vernon comes back healthy this year; imagine Torrey and Vernon stretching the field, and then Bush sneaking out into the flats. Lots of potential with this offense. Tons.

#49ers Stats @49ers_Stats
Per FootballOutsider's DVOA, which is kind of like WAR, Reggie Bush is the 47th best (out of 57) pass catching RB in the NFL. #49ers
