Wish we would have got this dude 5 years ago, now I'm happy he is on our team but not very excited about it. He must not have drawn much interest from other teams if he is willing to take the #3 role here. Nice that he can be insurance as a returner though.

Should be fun to watch for 5 games or so.

Age is all relative. He's missed 28 games in his 9 year career. Yeah he is quite fragile but if he's able to overcome his health issues I think we get a back with fresh legs and a lot of energy.
Frank Gore averaged 240 carries per season over a 10 year career. Bush? 140 over a 9 year span.
i guess we'll just have to wait and see.

He's not going to get many touches.
Like Crabtree, there's no where else to go. If Geep Chryst is a creative OC, this could be lethal in a read option with Kap.

he visited the pats yesterday and i don't know if they offered him a contract but i have to assume they didn't. not sure why he would choose us playing in probably the toughest division in football with a QB who refuses to check down to RB's vs. the patriots who get a free pass to a home playoff game every year and tom brady throws aboutu a million check downs per game.
i don't mind the signing so much and it could be good for us if reggie can stay healthy

Liked him coming out of college... didn't know he was fragile tho. When healthy, a very good weapon to keep defenses guessing / honest.
Not the soft/cuddly kinda Bush so he won't get tapped, but how many touches will he get tho.......

I would imagine he is the 3rd down back. He's productive when healthy. Won't be expected to shoulder the load like he has in the past. And he likely won't be asked to run between the tackles.
Not to mention, it's great to have him as an option at PR.
I trust Baalke on contracts -- so this seems like low risk/high reward.
