Mike Jurecki @mikejurecki
Hearing Erik Pears (#Bills) reached agreement on a two year deal with the #49ers, per source.

This guy is terrible.. In the same realm as J Martin according to my BUF fan buddies

Third from the bottom in PFF guard rankings. Well that's not good.

Better than Iupati at pass blocking, evidently. :)

#49ers Stats @49ers_Stats
Erik Pears allowed 33 pressures (4 sacks) in 632 pass blocking snaps. Mike Iupati allowed 31 pressures (7 sacks) in 514.
Meh . . . average depth signing I guess. Stack him behind Boone, Kilgore, Looney & Thomas.
would have rather taken a look at Blalock
Nice. Depth and experience. Would expect his spot has to be earned anyway
3rd from the bottom...it appears we are adrift.... WTH is going on in the FO?

So, we got a soft pear and a marshmallow (JM) as back up swing tackles and what not... battle of the softies in camp. Do both stay

Hopefully he is backing up a back up.
Another POS backup offensive lineman. Great work, Baalke (sarcasm intended).

Looks like he can hold his own in pass protection as a tackle.
