Which 49er game is your all-time favorite, and why?
I'd have to say my favorite is the Superbowl against San Diego. Young was, and is, my favorite Niner of all-time. Watching Young hug the Lambardi Trophy was great.

09/28/1980 vs Atlanta. We lost 20-17. This is the first football game I ever went to.

Hard for a 50-year fan to decide, but...
Favorite regular season game: Rams, 1989 in LA. Georgie Frontieri is partying on the sideline with the players during the final 2 minutes of the First Half (?) with the Rams leading. Rams take a 24-14 lead into the 4th quarter, but the Niners score 20 in the 4th to win including two short slants to John Taylor, both of which go for TD's of over 90 yards each. Unbelievable.
Favorite post-season game: 1988 Conference Championship game played in Chicago in sub-zero conditions. Media narrative was that the finesse Niners would die hard on the freezing turf in Chicago. Half the Niners came out in shirt-sleeves and they plastered the Bears 28-3. Ditka called it the worst loss of his coaching career. Singletary said he still has bad dreams about that game.

Good call.
They both bring back great memories.
I'm a 65 year old fan and my 2 favorites are:
A). "The Catch" game against the Cowboys. Right down to the end it was a total thrill.
B). "The Drive" against Bengals.

Also great ones. When you've been watching for 50 years, it's hard to pick isn't it? The only reason I didn't think of "the Catch" game I guess was that it wasn't as good a performance overall as people seem to remember. I believe Montana threw 3 ints in that game and "the Catch" didn't really end it. Without that Eric Wright horse-collar tackle and the subsequent sack and fumble recovery, the Cowboys would have broken all of our hearts again just like in the early 70's.

Unbelievable game; really one of the great finishes in franchise history. And on top of that, one of the most epic defensive plays ever by Whitner.

1. The "Catch" game against Dallas
2. The wildcard comeback against the Giants.
3. The Saints playoff game a couple of years ago.
Why? Because I was at all three games....

I forgot all about this one. Definitely one of my favorites.
My best friend is a Giants fan and he was at my house watching it with me. He talked so much s**t while they had lead, and I talked even more when we won...lol

The Super Bowl at Stanford was right up there as well. In my opinion, that was the best performance I have ever seen by a 49er team.

Strahan pointing to the scoreboard during the game made the win all the more sweeter.
