We're all taught in high school to avoid the tackle when the receiver/back is on the ground. But with that miracle catch wouldn't have happened if the db wasn't afraid to finish the play for fear of getting penalized. If that db hit Kearse instead of jumping over him, he probably wouldn't have made the catch.
Will this play give Toine and E. Reid case precedence to make the tackle in the future, instead of jumping over the offensive player?
