susweel, you think that there was intra-office acrimony over how the 2012 draft went down?

It had to be something maybe at that point harbaugh started to question baalke's decision making.
Losing the Super Bowl imo

I personally believe Harbaugh felt Kaepernick wasn't the right guy, and Baalke disagreed.

You have to remember Baalke was the personal responsible in the final say of drafting Kap.. He is the boss under York and what he says goes and there has already been numerous reports about how Harbaugh did not like that Baalke had control over certain things that he wanted to have control over as a coach..

And now for the Fact that Baalkes daughter tweeted "The 49ers don't want you anymore Roman" blah blah... Then she deleted the tweet and then account following with the Baalkes apologizing for the tweet.. That right their shows Baalke himself didn't agree with the OC and it had nothing to do with the Quarterback..

Think about it. Harbaugh obviously is defending Roman saying hes the right OC for the job and maybe saying Kapernick and the O just wasn't performing the way they should have been (aka the rift in the locker room) and then you have Baalke saying no, the wrong plays are being called hence his daughter saying Roman the 49ers don't want you anymore, but Harbaugh never fired Roman, and then Baalke led to the "mutual of parting ways" with Harbaugh therefore getting rid of Roman.

An amount the Yorks never had any intention of paying. In fact they are really happy to be out from under the $5 million a year salary. The got a CHEAP, YES MAN, BETA MALE who will do whatever they want and say. Not an Alpha dog who wanted top dollar. Not their kind of guy.

This is the predominant reason.

If I am wrong, why didn't harbaugh fire Roman in favor of the QB if he believes Kapernick was the right guy for the job? only a ignorant person would think kap was getting the job don't this last year, and everyone believed Roman was the problem including Baalke's daughter so?

monsterzero, kawakami reported that it was primarily harbs vs. baalke and that jed simply took baalke's side. Would you disagree with that interpretation of events?

"Rumors" also came out that Baalke was the "last man standing" who stood for Harbs, which probably went south at some point. Not sure if it was just Harbs vs Trent only.
