The FO mis managed Harbaugh. When they finally wanted to confront him they were intimidated.
JT is a great guy who they can manage and be below Baalke.
Hope it works out, I don't see how position coaches and coordinators are going to be ok with this during the hiring process.

Do they not think we see through their smokescreen?

Well written response that conforms to my own views. The decisions taken brought me back to the days I worked in corporate. Personalities assumed more import than the operation of the firm. This mess in SF will also ruin any chances good coaches will want to move to SF. PSSST! They too can see the smokescreen and I'll wager they get even more detailed info. Baalke's reign has a date stamp. There are others in the organization who have "voting shares" and once revenues plummet, they will be looking for answers.
Players too will soon start bailing. Why would any player trust Baalke with their careers? Harbaugh is all any of them need to see.
For fun - lets examine Baalke's track record - his drafts...
Crickets? 13 picks last year and what ROY did he select?
Poor Tomsula... he always anted to be a head coach and knew he'd never get the chance. Others were good talent evaluators and that is WHY he remained a position coach. More than anything else, Tomsula's fails in interviews are glaringly evident of - his (absent) intellect? Or his fear of Baalke. He couldn't answer the question because Baalke had yet to provide him the answer? And that is a capsule of how Baalke maintains control. Tomsula too has a breaking point. When he must face the cameras week after week.. loss after loss... Baalke won't be there. He'll be in witness protection - York too. The comparisons to Harbaugh have already started and a few losses will seal the fate of the hapless bunch of egomaniacs who believe they can control the fans. Wanna see Baalke go bye-bye - stop attending games!!! Write Mgmt and express your sentiments - kindly - why you won't be returning Until....
This is very bad news for fans - learning their organization cares more about the ego in upper management than they do the team. That's CLASS!

Don't know if you are going to get folks to pony up for season tickets and not show up to the games. I have however stopped buying anything from the retail store. Upset fans are not in any mood to sped money. Hire a talking head HC and a bland OC, and I'll spend all of my money outside of the stadium. The past three games I've eaten across the street at the golf course. So for now, that's my solution. Don't spend money there...

The fall out from this debacle is only now beginning to show. Face it - many SF fans are fair weather - most fans are. They sell the season tix and stop attending games. Overtime, fewer and fewer will care.
Losing is motivating in reverse. It's dispiriting.
It took over a decade to get a good coach. When was the last Championship game before Harbaugh? 12 years? Last SB - 18 years? Or there about. AAARRRRGGGGH! I SO HATE THESE BUFFOONS. York - short spoiled incompetent rich kid with an ego problem. Baalke - incompetent under the desk career man. That is who is in charge. This team is SO screwed. WHERE IS EDDIE D?

I'm sorry but this thread does a lot of reaching, I think Baalke is bringing in guys he can work well with that all share the same "philosophies"
If you want my opinion on the issue last year, it looked like too many coaches were pulling too many strings in too many different directions.
The results being a Qb that regressed, an offensive line that was top5 in the NFL a year prior getting dominated at the LOS by the Raiders and dropping to bottom 5 overall. A OC who not only looks like an idiot, but called plays like one as well. Talented draft picks becoming busts through their lack of development. Bad drafts. Too many different pieces on an offense that supposed to be simple, yet we are horrible at looking organized before a play.
All of that can be contributed to lack of communication, something it sounded like Harbs didn't want to use.
I understand this hiring, and personally I think it was a good one.
Also, if you want your money for your seat back I heard Oakland is looking for some loyal fans.
Amazing to me how quickly people jump ship over something like this.
I don't think anyone's jumping ship and your taking him to literally. Your points all make sense to me but just like his, they are theoretical and not fact. But I think it's ok to let the kid let off steam and a little fun without having to give him crap about it so boringly. Your being too serious and he's not

oh noes! doom doom doom.
Armageddon's almost here. Armageddon outta here!
can the fans not wait until everyone is hired and see what the product on the field looks like before blowing wads on long rants?

Bayaraeafanatic makes very valid points. I don't know why he's getting crap. Tomsula is a HUGE question mark as a head coach. That should not be debatable. Questioning his choice is natural for all sorts of reasons. Whether he will be a pleasant surprise is to be determined, but to say there's no reason to be just a tad pessimistic is to ignore reality. I do wish him all the luck in the world, but he has some hurdles to clear. No question.

It's a wait and see. But you know we gotta fill our time with something until September.
The 2 guys coaching in the NFL right now we're also not popular and sexy picks for their teams fans and everything turned out ok.
Could happen here

Yawn...
Still no coordinators and people are freaking out over game planning.

I think a veteran OC will give the entire fan base a feeling of comfort. That is why Chud makes sense, Mike Shanahan makes sense. IMO what you can't do is go into a season with a first year head coach, first year OC. Especially when your biggest issues are on offense.

good explanation of what happened. I think most of the webzoners saw through this smokescreen though. Baalke is picking the staff not Tomsula.

Doesn't this kinda remind you of the Singletary choice?

Yes.... But one big thing is missing. Singletary had an ego and he didn't know what he didn't know. Tomsula is a company man, he will respect hierarchy and he has no ego. He's there purely as a motivator and he is there for the love of the game.
