No, actually smart people look at reactions and feedback from outside people to get a better perspective. People too close to a situation have either rose colored glasses, like you fanboys, or completely negative ones. Only mature people can take outside observations and use it to confirm or deny their own observations without their ego getting involved. It just confirms that teams around the Division are laughing their ass off at how stupid this whole situation is that York/Baalke have created. They are happy that there are two less games they have to stress about every year.

only immature fans care about other fans' reaction to our hire.

Anyone dumb enough to de-stress about the two games against SF next year knows nothing about football. Which, it has been proved, is exactly how much part of the fanbase of Seattle and the Cards actually do know.

The Faithful here seem to have surrendered and are waiting with masochistic glee for a disaster of a season. It isn't going to happen.

Your opening line shows a rather arrogant attitude and misses the point. You petulantly set aside the opinions of your fellow fan (assuming you are a 49ers fan) and laud the equally biased opinions of fans of competing teams, claiming it shows you are mature.

It is, actually, too early to assess. But as the bulk of a powerful roster remains and is at pains to be supportive of Tomsula, I shall continue to be optimistic about next season.

His point is also completely based off of the assumption that the "outside info" is objective data, when it is clearly 100% subjective and therefore of little use to confirm or deny your own data. Logic people, it really isn't that hard.
