He is in no way like his uncle. First of all Eddie was a rich guy from Ohio who took a risk on buying a losing team in northern california and with in a couple of years he was holding a lombardi trophy then another and another and so on. He made smart moves and ran the organization with class (something jed claims to do) Jed on the other hand is a silver spoon kid who did nothing but have the team handed to him cause his parents were bored of it or tired of running it. He made a good move in getting Haurbaugh then he managed to screw that all up. He got the team a new stadium but at the expense of destroying 60 + years of football in San Francisco. Jed is just like his parents hes not football smart the only reason people gave him a pass at first is cause they were blinded by the teams recent success which was ALL HAURBAGH. Eddie D team of the decade in the 80's and 20 years of excellence and 5 Lombardi trophies. The York family year after year of losing seasons and stupid football decisions which at the moment has us with no head coach a ton of question marks and a stadium full of mistakes and a horrible location. It's easy to tell who Jed is more like.

Lol, actually it's a great location...and Jed took over the team. If you didn't notice on offense...jh was screwing us over. You want a guy that was sabotaging our offense ?

Also Eddie D. inherited the business from Sr.

What does Eddie D inheriting the family business have to do with his decision to buy a football team? that was a move on his own his dad had nothing to do with the football decision, Eddies dad didn't hand him the 49ers like Jed did. Eddie took a risk he bought a struggling 49er team cause he wanted to own a NFL franchise his dad had nothing to do with it.

That's it. The thought that they let some kid run a $1.5 Billion franchise. LOLOLOLOLOLOL.......

John York and Denise Debartolo York STILL OWN THIS team. Yeah Jed has a title. He goes there to work everyday. But he does not own the franchise. So he ultimately is not really in charge. He is a FACE to put forward. John York was about to get run out of town so they needed a new face. So they put one forward. But to think that John and Denise have no influence on a franchise they own is absolutely rediculous.

He inherited the family business the same way Jed did. Eddie D. used the family business $ to purchase a team of which he knew nothing about and made it work. Jed inherited the team and got a stadium built, something Eddie D. couldn't. Both hearts are fully invested in this team if you hadn't noticed. Both want desperately to make they own path and make it work. And both consult on a regular basis. And Eddie D. has encouraged Jed to make his own path. Looking at the fan letters to the Editor about Eddie/Walsh you are no different than "fans" back then.

I love Eddie D and what he did for the 49ers but im also a grown man and to say Eddie won with class is a little off. Why because he provided the players with lavish amenities. That has nothing to do with clasd and more so with opening the checkbook. Lets not forget why he no longer owns the team. I dont think what he did was a big deal but so be it. Such a classy smart business man doesnt payoff a Governor to get a gambling license. Who know else does that. The Mafia.

Lets see what the next hire at HC brings before we label Jed. So far he has brought in Baalke and Harbaugh and got a new stadium built. Didnt Eddie want a new stadium and threatened to leave SF as well to get it.

Im sure if the next coach brings a SB most of the Jed haters would be on his d@$k and say "Harbaugh who"

+1
I think the owners need to leave the team stuff up to the people they hire and remain out of the public eyes as much as possible including twitter, etc. The do think Jed wants whats best for the Niners and hope that he counsels with Uncle Eddie more than he does with his Dad.

Nope. It has been Harbaugh so far. Without Harbaugh they have sucked. They will be without Harbaugh again so let's see if Jed gets it right or if he pulls another Nolan and Singletary

And fired him. Lol. Let's see what he does now. It could be back to the 8-8 days. Most good coaches have an ego like Harbaugh. Jed will probably hire a yes man.

Also 1 of the 3 coaches he hired were good. Not a good track record.

Yes I love Eddie, but I note how the York bashers "forget" why they had to take over the team. That was class, wasn't it? Neither of the Yorks reportedly had any interest in football. The temptation to run the team down then get rid of it must have been strong. Or move it to LA and then sell it.

Thankfully they were more responsible that that although if they read this forum they must wonder why they bothered. From early mistakes, including TDon who was employed at the recommendation of Bill Walsh, they have learned from their mistakes and we now have a new stadium despite the negativity of the City of San Francisco and one of the strongest rosters in the league.

As to John York "nearly getting run out of town" this is sheer fantasy. Even Art Modell wasn't run out of town.

3 deep runs will do that to a team. Harbaugh is still the best Coach we had in a while and if he was free he would be the best coach on the market. Let's see what Jed does and let the year play out. Can't judge this move till the end of next season

i can judge it right now..and it was the best move..even if we suck.

JH was playing preseason ball all year..Just look at highlights from 2011/12/13..then compare the plays those years to this year...he was holding back this team..by not doing anything on offense since he is the last guy to relay the play into Kaep

JH wanted out
