Agree! We have a very talented roster, albeit with some major question marks. There is uncertainty at HC and QB, and that alone is enough to jeopardize any team's future, regardless of how talented the rest of the roster is. Just have to trust Baalke/York to make the right decisions at HC and QB, and fix the offense, because the defense is ready made for a championship.
Show me the talent on offense...
Gore is ancient
Crabtree had a terrible year and may well be gone... Boldin too
Davis sucked so bad it's hard to believe
Stevie Johnson and Lloyd are garbage
Vance McDonald is a flat out bust
The offensive line is taking some hits. Iupati perhaps is moving on. Staley is older.
Kaepernick is not improving
Do we have a single talented player on this offense? Who would be the best player on offense? Staley?
To say we have a Super Bowl caliber roster.... I just don't see it.
A lot of teams with a real playbook / OC would drool if they had most of our offense on their rosters. Belichick would gladly trade his WRs for ours. Hyde/Ellington/M. Martin showed good signs. Our oline dipped quite a bit and was injured off/on, but when healthy (one of the best).
That being said, next year is different... some guys will be gone and rightfully so. FA and the draft will be key. Baalke can't screw around by shopping at Bargain City this time around. A mix of vets, 2nd yr guys and new comers on offense is what's coming, but can we gel right away... we'll see what up.
