All this, and two weeks left in the regular season. It has been a hell of a roller coaster of a season. With all the distractions of this season, the 49ers could easily be 13-1 or 12-2 right now. But as fate would have it, we are teetering at 7-7. I can not remember any team in recent history that has had a season like we have.

All becuase the management couldn't make up their mind regarding Harbaugh's contract..

I still to this day, believe, had Jed presentd Harbaugh a contract w/no "Super Bowl or Else", this woulda been one hell of a season for us...

That is incredible. Timeline really puts it in perspective. Seems like ever other day we've been given bad news. Just a s**tstorm of a year.
Wow ... can't believe I missed so much of this. I'm still stuck in traffic getting out of Blue Lot 1! :)
Wow. Crazy to see it broken down like that
Injuries and distractions really did derail what should have been a special season. Just gotta move on though.

LOL... cloud nine, bro, cloud nine
This timeline is mind blowing. What bothers me even more is this.

49ers-Bears L 28-20 (Frank Gore 13 carries, Carlos Hyde 4 carries)
49ers-Cardinals L 23-14 (Up 14-6 at halftime) (Frank Gore 6 carries, Carlos Hyde 3 carries)
49ers-Rams L 13-10 (Frank Gore 14 carries, Carlos Hyde 2 carries)
49ers-Raiders L 24-13 (Frank Gore 12 carries, Carlos Hyde 2 carries)

Despite everything in this timeline, this season was lost when we abandoned our identity from the get go. I firmly believe if we ran the ball at least 25 times in each of these ball games no matter the results of the carries we are 11-3 today, in first place. It's really hard to swallow how poorly this team was managed on the offensive side of the football. The running game was abandoned too early in games this year. It was never given a chance to succeed.

Good call. All of those losses were close contests. Absolutely no reason to abandon the running game. Gore and Hyde should have been a two-headed monster this year. I understand not wanting to run into a 8 or 9 man box, but the alternative is leaving the game up to an outdated, unimaginative, and poorly coached passing attack. Not only was the run-game the player's strength, it was the coaches' strength as well.

You need to calm down bro, there's like a handful of people at most who put the blame all on Kap. The whole world ain't out to get you and your man.

You take any "knock" on Kap too personally bro, you're too invested in this guy to be objective, IMO.
