Give things one more year. Add to the oline and get a #1 receiver. This team had enough bs going in this last year and it needs stability across the board. Harbaughs track record since being here vs this last year gives me my belief on keeping things as they are.

One more year of s**tty offense...no thanks. Not sure how anyone can argue for the status quo, if the offense is predictable now, you're not going to see Roman have a flash of inspiration all of a sudden. At minimum, several members of the offensive staff need to change, otherwise you're looking at finishing near the bottom of the league again in sacks given up, passing yards and having the same sorts of struggles they had this season, plus Kaepernick potentially regressing even further.

Record! Also it doesn't matter what offense you run if the players are playing like sh-t

(Assuming Harbaugh is out)

1. Hire Gase or McDaniels. I don't know enough about either of them, but someone youngish with a creative offensive mind and has worked with good QBs in the past. Both these guys seem to fit the bill so whichever is more of 'a leader of men'. Preferable if the coach wants to move to a zone blocking run scheme. Must have a catchier rallying phrase than, "Who's got it better than us?"

2. Urge the new coach to keep the same defensive staff. Pay Fangio, Donatell, Tomsula whatever they want.

3. Gone: Crabs, Cully, Iupati, Brooks. If Brooks can't handle getting reduced snaps, then there will be issues next season as Lynch develops.

4. Retain: Cox ($5), Skuta ($2), Gore ($3)

5. UFA: recruit hard for Torrey Smith (speed WR, shouldn't have to break the bank to get him), if not settle for Kenny Britt. An experienced backup offensive tackle. DE depth

6. Draft WR, DE, RB, TE, OL

7. Extend Aldon because his price will probably sky rocket during the 15-16 season.

(I have no idea how this fits into the salary cap)
Too lazy this morning to make my own list so will burgle yours!
Fixed:

1) Ask for a raise and then resign Harbaugh.
2) Send Roman on an East Asian scouting trip, one way ticket. Hire new OC--Trestman, Cameron...someone JH can work with.
3) Let Crabtree walk, resign gore for 2 years.
4) Try to sign fast, good vet WR.
5) Allow Iupati to leave, he's not had a great year and he isn't even a decent pass protector.
6) Keep Cox, he hasn't been a dunderhead.
7) Draft a #1 WR if possible, maybe another in the later rounds.
8) Draft at least two DL the first four rounds of the draft, unless a FA signs.
9) Draft an all around RB to compete with Hunter. 10) Move Boone to RT and Davis to RG, draft a guard.

Gore on a 2 year deal, Hyde as the bell cow, hunter as a speed back. Millard & miller as FB & H-backs.

QB: Kaepernick, vet and a low draft pick
WR: Boldin, Johnson, Ellington, Patton, rookie, rookie (or vet FA)
TE: Davis, McDonald, Carrier, and Celek. Think about trading VD, finding no decent offers, keep.
OL: Staley, Thomas, Kilgore/MMartin, Davis/Looney, Boone (competions for last spot with J Martin)
RB: Gore (if he's reasonable), Hyde, Hunter, Rookie

DL: J Smith, Dorsey, Williams, Dial, Carradine, Jerod-Eddy, rookie (high round), rookie (or FA)
LB: A Smith, Willis, Bowman, Borland, Wilhoite, Brooks, Lynch, Lemonier, Moody, Skuta
DB: Cox, Brock, Bethea, Reid, Ward, Cook, McFadden, Acker, Reaser, Johnson, rookie

ST: Keep as is except for adding another return specialist who can play WR or DB.
Like others I stopped reading at Keep Roman.

Does not compute.

Wonder what my ex boss was doing and realize he was part of a FO that brought in a lot of players that punished his old team over and over again and rubbed a Lombardi trophy in their faces.

Sarcasm works best when it's based on sound thoughts. This just makes you look stupid and a try hard.

I think Harbaugh is as good as gone, there is nothing that makes me think otherwise. I'd like to keep him, but it is what it is. Assuming this is what happens, I am basing my plans off of that...

1. Either Promote Jim Tomsula to Head Coach, or look at some few alternatives - which I'm sure they will do anyways.
2. With a new head coach most likely brings along a new OC/DC even if Tomsula is hired.
3. After cutting Ray McDonald, I think we need to resign Dobbs or TJE for depth purposes, but we do have Carradine waiting in the wings.
4. Try and convince Justin Smith to come back for another year, if not we need to sign a vet DE or draft one in the first three rounds.
5. Culliver and Perrish Cox are free agents, I wouldn't mind bringing back both of them for the right price, but we need to keep one of them. Assuming we keep one, we have Brock, Cully/Cox and Jimmy Ward and Dontae Johnson who has been solid.
6. I think Ahmad Brooks is going to be cut due to his cap number, and character issues this season. Aaron Lynch played well for a rookie at times, and we also have Lemonier on the bench for average depth. I think we can bring Skuta back or bring in another vet.
7. Let Wilhoite walk in free agency. Not due to his cap number (as it is very low), but he should be a starter somewhere and we have great depth with Willis/Bowman/Borland as it is.
8. Let Crabtree walk. I've liked him a lot, but I think he is a bit overrated as Stevie Johnson out performed him this season in limited reps. We will get a conditional pick for him, and be left with Stevie and Anquan as the starters. We could possibly bring back B Lloyd on a 1 year deal again, or be left with Patton and Bruce Ellington as 3rd and 4th WR's with the opportunity to add a 1st round WR in the draft that has SPEED.
9. Frank Gore either has to be resigned for a cheaper number, or has to walk if he wants to make anything close to 6 million again. Hyde is ready to take that role, and Hunter is back next year on a 1 yr deal as well.
10. Iupati will probably be a top 5 paid guard in the NFL, I think we CAN keep him and Aldon, but we can also keep Aldon and spend that money elsewhere. We drafted Brandon Thomas this year knowing we wouldn't be able to resign Iupati. Thomas is a talent that should have gone in the first or 2nd round if he was healthy.
11. Vernon needs to take a paycut. I'd hate to cut him off 1 bad year, but if we did that would add cap and we can easily add Jordan Cameron for cheaper.

I know it seems a bit drastic that Cully/Crab/Gore/Brooks/Iupati could be let go, but think about how much money they would have for a new coaching staff to spend in free agency + all of the compensation picks they would be able to obtain. We'd have multiple mid round picks and probably some of the most $$$ in the league to spend. Also, the last few years our drafts have been filled with depth picks. It's time for that depth to mature and be given a chance.

Targets in Draft/Free agency in no particular order
1. Another OLB pass rusher
2. Another Vet DE if Smith retires, or 2nd-3rd Round DE if he returns
3. Speed WR in Draft or Free agency (preferable a 1st rounder) Or possibly spend some of the cap room on Randle Cobb who is probably on his way out of GB due to Jordy getting that contract and they just drafted Davante Adams. Torrey Smith can stretch the field and is only 25 years old. Or we can add my boy Marcus Easley from Buffalo for Special teams purposes but only because he's my close friend from high school
4. More depth at CB (2nd-3rd round as eventually Ward will need to transition to safety)
5. Interior OL Line depth (2nd rounder/vet to compete with Brandon Thomas/Kilgore(who can play C as well)/Looney)
6. RB in the 4th-5th round if Gore doesn't return.

-If I'm GM right now right now, I'd trade JH to Oakland 30 seconds after next weeks game for either their #1 or their #2.
-Then I would FIRE Roman and change the Locks to the building.
-Then I'd hire either Holmgren,Kubiak,Gase.
-I'd do my darnest to keep Fangio but if he bolts he bolts.
-Then in FA I would target some BEEF along the OLINE and DELINE and a True CB VET.
-In the Draft I would draft a Blue Chip WR take a chance type.
-I would ask Gore to play for Vet min as a #2 back Going away tour.
-I would draft a QB like Bryce Petty in the 3rd or 4th round just to make Kaep work.
KILL MANGINI!! just joking. But seriously, get rid of em nothing good has come since we hired him. We need to move on from Gore. Hyde is ready to be unleashed. With an explosive wideout via draft or free agency, and a RB from the draft as a wildcard, we can get this offense going. The Defense is going to destroy the league next year with Bowman and Willis coming back fresh and hungry as ever. If we can manage to keep Brock, Cox and Culliver, we will have something special. Draft a high QB and bring in a solid vet who can teach Kaep, and we are set at QB. Draft needs include, DL, OL, WR,RB, TE etc. We need to fill the void left when we let Delanie Walker go. An explosive alternative to Vernon. Oh yeah, and clone Garrison Hearst.
Bring in somebody wearing Big Boy pants ( a Carmen Policy type) to over see this sinking ship.

Stopped reading there. If a guy is bad enough to NEED an "assistant", he shouldnt be coordinating anything period.
