Probably. We're going to Mooch this up and break up a good team for nothing.
The similarities are there for sure.
We are coming up on big cap decisions in the next couple years, but at least this time around we shouldn't be entering years of endless cap hell like we did back then.
That being said, I think history will be kind to Harbs the way it has been to Mooch, because timing is everything. The reality is this roster peaked a couple years ago, and with Cowboy, Gore, Ahmad, Crabs, Iupati all potentially leaving soon, guys are going to have to step up quickly. Baalke has definitely done his best to cover all bases in anticipation of the oncoming roster turnover, but the reality is that for every Lynch who looks like he could be an ugprade over Ahmad, you have guys like Tank and Hyde are stepping in to replace a couple of potential hall of famers, we have almost no idea what Patton and Ellington can do, and Brandon Thomas isn't even healthy yet.
There will be a dropoff and Harbs can see it coming from a mile away.
