Well we will have a lot of talent at LB next season. Business wise, we should try to trade some and get picks and free up cap space.

I'm willing to give Kap another year, with a new coach, especially OC, and maybe new system, he may thrive.
Willis isn't going anywhere, he is a team leader, and deserves the money, so sick of overhyping Borland. He is good, not great, yet anyway.
If we get rid of Willis, why not Bowman, he hasn't played all year right? (Sarcasm of course).
The guys I think are likely gone are Crabs, Iupati, Brooks, maybe VD(His salary isn't a big deal to me, it is high, but $2M is prorated money, while only $4.9M is savable, plus we have no one capable of being an impact TE right away), maybe Boone(Overrated, his arse never should of sat out).
I want Gore back, I don't want him anywhere else. Cully and/or Cox for right price, not elite money, so $3M a yr at most.
I hope Boldin, and Justin Smith don't retire, and come back for 2015.
Tender Wilhoite, and Nelson as RFAs, and TJE as a EFA.
About it.
1) Willis and Bowman are set to count for 17 m next season. That is way too much of the cap designated to a non premium position like MLB.
2)Pat will be 30 next season and has played 13,14,16 and 6 games in recent seasons.
3) Chris Borland- while no one would argue Borland is as good or will ever be as good as Pat, but teh fact remains that Broland and 8m in cap room may be better than keeping Pat
I'm not saying I want Pat to be released, as is is one pof my all-time favorite Niners.. I'm just saying that Tren will consider the options

Ck regressed but the o line regressed even more. Martin is a horrible player. Llyod & SJ really didnt amount too much besides killing the development of Patton & Ellington. Look around the league. Teams are getting bigger younger & faster on offense while Niners added old & slow.

He had trade value. Id bet my house that the straw that broke the camels back was harbaugh having a fit when baalke had a trade lined up sending brooks to cleveland. So, to answer the original question..Originally posted by Paul_Hofer:I doubt they can trade Willis or Bowman, coming off injury, for what they're worth. Brooks has no trade value.
Crabs, lloyd, lemonier, dahl, and iupati wont be back. Jonathan Martin should be gone too.

person - reason (replacement)
gore - he's gone unless he signs on the cheap (draft pick)
iupati - someone else can pay him 10 million a year (brandon thomas)
brooks - cap cut (Lynch)
crabtree - injury prone, wants #1 wr money...he's not a #1 (draft pick)
greg roman - smh (anyone else)
they also might move vernon...he held out and crapped the bed this season.
