Who do we replace Roman with?

Sorry for new thread but I really wanted to pick some peoples brains on this. If we fired Roman today is there a good OC in pros or collage that would be a complement to our offence. I'm thinking a chip Kelly type. Does anyone have some good names?

You can replace him w/any High School Football coach. There wouldn't be much of a drop off.

Dennis Green will bring his own OC if Harbaugh won't make a change.

As a hypothetical, this late in the season....maybe someone like Chris Ault. He doesn't have NFL playcalling experience but knows Kaepernick very well, knows best probably how to utilize him.
At this point I'd take anyone, even Mad Mike Martz over this crap show that we've been seeing.

If Marc Trestman gets fired, that would be my choice for OC. Not an ideal NFL head coach, but a QB friendly coordinator that knows how to run a passing offense.

That's the sad thing. There is no sure fire guy to take over right now if Roman is fired. I'm ok with that. I've named a few guys in other threads that would be up to the task however. I didn't name Chris Ault however. It would be interesting to see what he'd come up with on a pro-level.
We are just going to have to wait until seasons end when there will be some decent OCs on the market after their head coaches are fired or contract has expired.
Edit: Just saw Trestman's name. I jokingly suggested him several weeks back. I guarantee it will go a lot better this time around seeing as how he would have some real running backs and more than one receiver.
Marty Mornhinweg- WCO guy and gave Michael Vick his best season as a passer in 2010.
Dirk Koetter- Has guided a good Atlanta offense for the better part of 7 years.
Rod Chudzinski- Has guided decent offenses in Cleveland (2007) and Carolina (2011 - 2012). Also ran the offense the last time we had a decent offense at the University of Miami (early 2000s, last national title win). Tight end friendly and runs the ball. We won't have to worry about him leaving to become a HC anytime soon unless the offense absolutely explodes.

Marty morrnhieg if he gets canned in ny. I've always enjoyed his WCO, as he usually has a real good run attack to go along with his passing attack.

I think anyone brought in would be a temp hire at best, run the same playbook but hopefully a better situational playcaller.

We don't need a new playbook we need a new play caller. That is what people are not understanding.
The playbook is fine, the person calling the plays is the problem. Teams know HIS TENDENCIES and they know what HE IS GOING TO DO
that's why we're struggling.

This. Three guys can have three completely different levels of success with the same playbook. Its not Roman's playbook that is the issue as much as his general inability to call NFL quality offense consistently.

Since only four games left and there's still a chance to make the playoffs, I'd wait until after this season to find a permanent OC (I like Norv Turner if they could get him from the Browns). In the meantime, if Roman is let go now I think Harbaugh should take over more of the playcalling responsibilities for the remainder of this season and work with Chryst for ideas to make the necessary adjustments to this scheme for the short term. Trying to do too much of an overhaul to it this late in the season and with the playoffs still within reach could have a complete adverse effect and be very disruptive.
