Kap needs serious work. He's to big
I've been b***hing about our failing run game since last yr. But it's really just part of a larger failure overall.

You can talk about lack of execution, stacked boxes, Gore is too old, not enough r/o, etc.

Bottom line, its the scheme and playcalling, both have been figured out long ago.

No defense in the league is scared of our passing game so we are always running into a box that has 8 or 9 defenders in it.

Sounds like the Jimmy Raye/Hostler years.

On many teams, Hyde would have already been installed as the lead back. Look around the league, where it's RB roulette. Our coaches are being loyal to Gore, but many would have already moved on to Hyde. Like to see him get 20 touches, just to see.

This has to be the approach for the rest of the season. Gore's abilities don't match with Kap's. Hyde is a good read option RB. Sit VD. Go with 3 and 4 wide. Call it: Four wide and Hyde

Actually every damn year of Gore's career, even when he had Norv or Martz, no one respected the pass because our best receiver was probably AB83

Has any hall of fame back ever played for such a crappy combination of coaches and lack of surrounding talent on offense? It's depressing
Hyde hasn't shown that he is better than Gore this year. We face stacked boxes every game. And our o line hasn't been as dominant. We also need a change of pace guy like we had with Hunter.
When's the last time the Niners showed a run play and Kap noticed the defense sniffed it out and he audibled to a quick screen pass to a WR for a 3,5 yard gain..
I'll tell you why the Cowboys, Saints & Chiefs are running the ball wel. YOUNG RBs. DeMarco Murray, Mark Ingram, Jamaal Charles. Gore is no longer a gamebreaking, home run hitting back, and our passing game is a joke. We are basically out of options offensively. We can't continue putting all of our chips on Gore. His best days are behind him. While he is still playing at an impressive level for a 31 year old back, its just not enough.
We'll Seattle plays press so that wouldnt have worked. They should have been sending our men in motion and giving someone a free release on everyplay! Its common f**king sense!

Where are all the shifts and misdirection pre-snap like last year? Now they have Kap standing behind the line calling out protections like he is freaking Peyton Manning! Its aint working!

If the Niners are gonna use even more shifts and fancy stuff pre-snap, they need to ask the league to extend the play clock by 10-12 seconds. I bet 90% of the time, the ball gets snapped with 3 seconds or less remaining on the play clock
