Gore did play on some trashy teams and he is one of my favorites, if not my favorite player. As a runner, Charles might be better in his prime because of the breakaway speed. Overall though I think Gore has been the more complete running back. He can take the load, run between the tackles, best blocker, could catch out of the backfield. If he had never been hurt in college, he might have ended up as a top 3-5 back of all time because he had more speed prior to the knee injuries.

Which one of them has two runs of 70+ yards in one game....?
Barry was the only one to ever do that.
Vision
Speed
Balance
Agility
Football IQ
Hands
Tackle Breaking
Blocking
Heart
(I'm probably leaving something off)
Answer all of those, and that's the better RB.

Probably all time best in the heart category. Dude puts everything he has for the sake of the team and fans. Love Frank the tank and I'm gonna be really sad when he retires.

How do you measure that?(just curious)
Cutler would be an example of a player with no heart...lol

Right now, Charles. Overall, Gore. Charles won't even last as long I bet.

All i care for are the guys who wear the Red N Gold who care's what other ppl think. Gore is our dude & u have to stick up for him no matter what. He didnt become our all time leader for nothing. Charles hasnt set his legacy just yet who's to say he's not run out this league in a few years by either bad play or injuries end his career. (See Chris Johnson career)

Jamaal Charles is a dominant force. He has speed and change of direction quickness that Gore never had. Id put Charles' abilities up against any RB in the league right now.
Gore was never the best in the game.
Charles has never been the best in the game either. That honor goes to AP, which is mainly the reason Gore was never considered for that title. Do you know which player has the most rushing yards since Gore came in the league?

Babe Ruth would be proud of this homer.

He came into the league in 05 and is still playing. Not difficult to see why he has the most yards.
I love Gore but Charles can do more for a team. In Gore's prime he couldn't do what Charles can. That said I'd rather Frank, he's a warrior and a grinder who I can count on when it most matters

Id love to see him running behind E.Smiths 90s Cowboys lines....
You don't understand how special Gore is and could've been had he not played with some of the worst OC and QBs.

How many times do people compare running backs and leave out YPC? By the way Charles career ypc is 5.5 Gore's is 4.5.
Comparison of first 6 seasons as pros (since jamaal has only had 6 full seasons as a pro)
Frank 6,414 Rushing yards 35 rushing tds - 2,283 rec yards 9 rec tds - Total 8,697 yards 44 tds
Jamaal 5,823 rushing yards 29 rushing tds - 1,975 rec yards 14 rec tds - Total 7,798 43 tds

How many years has our offense been nothing but Gore? I wouldn't take any other back over him.
