You know, Reaser, if he proves healthy, with is speed and all year in the film room, he may end up being a viable option as a backup slot CB esp. with the injury to Ward and forcing Cox to move over to the slot in nickle.

Neither Reaser or Thomas gonna play this year. This is just to get them some practice time. Then put them on IR.

Most likely very true BUT, if Reaser shows "something" we may move him to the 53 and demote McFadden.

Yep. I listened to Harbaugh's press conference today, and he said something to the effect of, "yeah, [Thomas/Reaser] are going to practice, but they're only going to engage in light activity." He sounded very dismissive of the possibility of them playing this year (at least that's the impression I got).
