My issue with Roman AND Kap this game is not adjusting to the rush. Roman calling pass plays again at the goal line. And we go to Crabtree again? Are they calling in 2 plays to Kap and he's choosing to pass or is that all on Roman? Crabtree dropping balls, and we can't ignore Kaps overthrows, under throws and 2 almost ints atop of fumbles. He had a very bad game and that's not all on Roman, although I'd like to see Roman go. I want Roman gone and oline/ Qb drafted early this year while also bringing in a vet behind Kap. Heck, get rid of roman now. All if this Isnt on Roman and the oline though. People need to acknowledge this.

Kap was Sacked 7 times in the first half and then again in the second, it was apparent to everyone in the stadium that any pass that took longer than 2.5 seconds to throw was going to be a sack. Kap had no time to throw anything but 2.5 second passes. And our guy up in the press box, roman, had to have seen that. But he continued to call 5 step, 7 step, 9 step drops, that took WAY more than 2.5 seconds. Eli did a major study on why he was getting sacked so much. He found, not surprisingly, that any ball not gone in 2.5 seconds, caused him to be sacked. That information is available to anybody.
So roman, and therefore Coach Harbaugh, continued to beat the drum for passes greater than 2.5 seconds, causing 7 sacks in the first half and cratering 5 drives. It is apparent that roman cannot call plays for kap, and Coach H cannot continue to OK them, because against the big RUSH, they result in sacks. So we either keep Kap...or we keep roman and Coach H. We cannot keep both. One or the other has to go, because if kap is given a play that takes longer than 2.5 seconds to be thrown, he gets sacked. Obviously neither JH nor greg noted this as they continued to call pass plays that took longer than 2.5 seconds. So now, we either get rid of kap, or we get rid of greg...and as JH says, he stays with me....so maybe they both need to go. Whatever, their performance today rates right up there with stupidity for the ages, in that all 65,000 fans in the stadium and another 12-15 million saw HaRo call for long developing plays, time after time, with the same result...Kap getting sacked. They all failed. All passes under 2.5 seconds
were gone, no sacks, and most were complete. So there it is. Somebody has to go. Roman cannot call plays for kap and JH isn't going to fire him. ERgo, I guess they both go. Or kap goes, but even tho he had his second horrible game in a row, I would rather keep him than roman. I will give roman credit a few times for rolling kap out, but that was long after the 7 sacks.
As to the question, who goes? Obviously, once again, HaRo could not see the obvious, and no changes were made at half time re: long developing passes. Greg has outstayed his welcome and usefulness here. Our Qb is failing because of greg's incredibly poor play calls. So one or the other...who will it be, and Coach H is free to leave if he has to stay with roman. But somebody has to go after that disgrace out there today. Sure the OL played bad. But that is what a HC does. He makes changes. He makes sure his QB throws the ball before 2.5 seconds go by. Well, today, Coach H failed, and roman failed...again. Somebody has to go. Personally, I like kap, and I like Coach H. But being hardheaded and not very observant, is not the kind of coach we need for a team this talented. This has been a season wasted by bad coaching...and somebody has to, needs to, go.
Long developing plays? How about the Crabtree catch at the pylon where Kaepernick does his patented late pass? Kaep apologists need to allow him to take blame

Hey, Puck, read the hightlighted area above. Kap had a second straight stinko game. His OC, however, had a much worse one...which is just one of many over the last 3 and a half yrs.
NCommand said it would take about 8 games for roman to get fired. I thot less but was wrong. I sure hope NC is right. Lord knows we need somebody competent at OC, and right now and for last 3.5 yrs, we haven't had that guy. We got...romn. I think it very possible Trent fires him by MOnday. Probably won't happen, but it sure needs to.

I agree with Pasodoc on this one. Kaep has not been playing great, but he hasn't been put into situations to succeed by his coaching staff. When did Kaep throw his only TD pass today? On a designed roll out, that's when. He was still pressured, but he had time to find a wide open Anquan. How many more chances did he get like that? I would say three or less. This team is built for the power run game, but they gave their RB's only 10 carries in the second half. Who's fault is that? Roman's and by extension Harbaugh IMO. Something has got to change and soon or any opportunity to make the playoffs this year will be truly gone.

i think it's time to retool this team after the season. Roman, V. Davis, A. Brooks, Boone, Iupati, Crabs ALL need to go. They need to shift A. DAvis inside G and find another tackle.

Baalke & York have got to be pissed. They bought in extra talent this year and Harbaugh, Roman, Solari have pissed it away.
Not enough points scored or yards gained.
23rd PPG @ 21.
18th YPG @ 345.6.
Keep in mind there are some fantastically horrible teams below us in the Jags, Raiders, Buccs etc...
4th year in this offense. We should be able to do whatever we please but defenses keep on dominating us.

To many dissapointments. How come we are the only team in the league that can not successfully run screens? How come we seldom have an outlet receiver to throw to when there is pressure? Under seige in the pocket on passing plays we could keep 2 backs in to block, we could chip outside rushers, throw screens, throw to outlet receivers, throw quick short passes, throw roll-out passes and run the ball more all of which helps negate a pass rush.
In the 2nd half we drove in to FG position and had a 1st and ten running the ball and throwing short passes. Then we take a sack trying for more and fumble a snap and then we punt.
Kap's fumble in the 1st half was caused by trying to keep the ball to long instead of throwing a quicker route.
We had some success with roll-outs including our only TD and how many did we run? A couple of them? We move the ball running and throwing short passes and we go away from it.
It is a sickening feeling.

we've been dragging rinky-dink roman's anchor around since the beginning. even when winning there's always some frustration with the offensive plays. he's always been in over his head.

You can only judge an OC based upon the abilities of his QB. Kaep just does not do what good QB's do. He shows good athletic ball carrier tendencies, but no good mental quarterback tendencies. I do not favor Roman either, but as a coach myself I understand the stress and difficulty of trying to accomplish success with limited players at key positions. ESPECIALLY qb.

And Seattle should cut ties with Pete Carroll for a underperforming first half of the season.... Harbaugh has been the best thing to the Niners since 94. Cut ties with the guy who changed the franchise around???? I can agree with letting GRo go, but to start over and have some of the same bs from 04-10? No thanks.

I'm a big believer in Harbaugh and his system, but the in-game playcalling sucks, and that's Roman's job.
Roman goes, Harbaugh stays. Kap is the QB, but draft legitimate talent to push him. Love the kid to death, but never put all your eggs in one basket.

I wonder, if Baalke wants Roman gone but Harbaugh has his back, would their relationship become totally irreconcilable?
