This season is beginning to remind me of the 1988 season in which we won the Super Bowl. We struggled that year too, caught a beatdown in our own house by Atlanta that yr (17-34), then caught ANOTHER beatdown in our house the last game of the year by the Rams (16-38)!! Started out 6-5 and it looked like we was gonna miss the playoffs. Montana was struggling & so was J.Rice that year. Then, we messed around & WON the division and punched a ticket to the playoffs... and folks, the rest was history. We won our third Super Bowl title that year!!

Mods, I would like to request the "world's smallest violin" .gif, please!
Oh -- wait!
Jeez Louise 9erTilDeath. RELAX. We're 4-3 and the tough part of the schedule is now officially behind us. We're in pretty good shape in my opinion.

you are preaching to the choir bud. we are in a unholy land today. in my opinion the mods would be justified to give the web zone a bye for a couple days in order to calm down the mass hysteria not seen since thanksgiving night three years ago when we lost to the ravens. remember.. we had been "exposed and would be lucky to make the playoffs"

I'm worried about having to rely on a rookie to make line calls but I guess the niners have no choice.

ThisOriginally posted by Stanley:In the years Harbaugh has coached, this is the only game I went into knowing the 49ers were going to lose, and lose big. I was already totally at peace going into it.
This game was a measuring stick for where the 49ers currently are - today. But by no means is it an accurate measurement with 5-6 of our studs out. Studs that would likely start over Denver's current starters.
We played the best team in the AFC Top 2 team in all of the nfl
Short week
Injuries galore
Away game= loss
If anything the next time we play Minning,we know what kind of plays and defense we're getting.
Broncos showed us their cards.
We really need to heal up doe.

What many people fail to realize is the timing and impact of certain calls on the field. The very same way a turn over can flip a game, a bad call can do the same..
Crabtree offensive PI call.. I watched the play 10 times and still can't see where the penalty was.. I'm not kidding..
Dawson shank. Yes happened..
Boldin dropping a sure handed TD ? (Yes). How? No idea..
Vernon Davis ? The man who wanted a raise... This Mo Fo'r is borderline pathetic.. He cannot catch any more and unwilling to block... Umm suck a d1ck and gtfooh Vernon.. You have peaked and just don't give a f**k anymore and I can't respect that... I can deal with losing but can't deal with not trying..
We are down 11, stopped Denver to start the 3rd, get the ball back and moving it..
Have an east 1st down but Kap decides he would rather throw into double coverage to pick up extra yards and throws a pick... And Manning pretty much said Hey Punk your pick is just as good as a pick 6, here your ball get back out there..
That was the play of the game. Kap's stupid stupid moronic pass attempt.. Why not take what the defense is giving you? No clue.
Once Manning scored, the defense folded like a lawn chair and the game was effectively over..
I didn't see you complaining when the exact same thing happened to the Rams in your favor last week.
You and the Hawks have a lot in common this week.
Happens to all teams. All teams get bad calls.

I share your pain.
I don't believe in curses.
We need to regroup, get our missing guys back on the field and get our starters healed up.
JH & coaches need to do some self-examination and come back with a vengeance!

How we do all depends on one thing...how fast injured guys truly recover and get back on the field. How long will it take Aldon to get it all back and together again. I hope no more than two games, but.... Bow, who knows. P-52, don't let him hit the field til he is 100%. Playing hurt helps nobody, esp the team. So pray for those who can heal to do so, and those suspended to get unsuspended. Mainly, lady luck has been hard on us and health this yr....last game was close to a record in my mind for injuries and non starters starting...and it looked like it...against the best team by far in the league. We need good health and young guys have to now step up and get with the pro game. This is the time. Do...or die.

As much as we want to believe in our depth there comes a point where injuries are overwhelming. We went on the road to play a Superbowl team with a HOF QB a mile high and we were missing 1/3 of our starting DL, 3/4 of our starting LB's and 2/3 of our starting CB's and the 1/3 of our CB's we had was in his 1st game back. We were primed to be overrun. Add all the missing pieces on offense and what do you expect. Vernon Davis was playing hurt and poorly. Our OL is piecemeal and even the players on the field are not 100%. We all hoped we could hold it together until players like Bowman and Aldon Smith came back but we keep losing more players. It's just not our year but if we can get healthy we still can make a run at it.

Kaeperpick is like manure, he just happens sometimes.
And injuries ? Just seriously f**k off. I'm so done watching our guys go down week after week after week..
We are cursed we truly are I believe it with all my heart. I can't explain these turn of events.. I just can't anymore..
This team cannot catch a mother f**king break.. Kilgore injury was the remote control breaker for me.. Like seriously football gods f**k you already. I'm so done with watching this miserable chain of events unfold.. What's next? Kap blows his knee out. What the f**k?! Is next?
You're not a Niner fan. You are why true Niner fans get called Whiners. The only manure around here was just spread by you. I've been a Niner fan for 68 years and have lived through much rougher times than this. Grow a pair...
