Keeping him on the bench to learn the position has seemed to payoff.

Thanks for posting that. Kilgore has been good, but I question the stat below (from the article):
Daniel Kilgore – His +3.8 overall grade ranks sixth out of all centers. Kilgore and Nick Mangold are the only two centers left to still have a 100% Pass Blocking Efficiency rating.
I suppose this slip up was on Boone according to PFF?
Should Kilgore have blocked the unblocked blitzer up the middle and allowed the defender that Kilgore actually blocked to be handled by Boone?

The Justin Smith thing in the article is pretty obvious. Smith is just tearing it up. The Brooks stuff is interesting. He really needs to get it together consistently to try to make up for Aldon and Bowman not being in there.

Found this to be interesting...
A key matchup this week will be the 49ers' receivers versus the Eagles' secondary. Michael Crabtree has caught 19 of his 22 targets and has a Wide Receiver Rating of 113.4. Our PFF Slot Performance data shows Anquan Boldin toward the top in both receptions (13) and catch rate (92.9%). Add in Stevie Johnson's seventh-ranked +3.0 receiving grade and the return of Vernon Davis and you have a complete receiving corps.
Brandon Boykin is the Eagles' top corner and his +2.7 coverage grade ranks just outside the Top 10.Cary Williams and Bradley Fletcher on the other hand have coverage grades of -3.7 and -3.9,respectively, and rank 86th and 87th out of all cornerbacks.
Sounds to me like we need to test this suspect secondary early and often.

I expect a balanced attack. The Eagles are currently #26 on team defense. They have problems stopping the run and the pass. I think the Niners will test that secondary, but I also think they'll try to grind it out to keep that Eagles offense off the field.

Idk why, but for some reason I have a strange feeling that this is going to turn into a shootout...

He is a finess player what is his run blocking? He doesn't have that nasty O-line play he the equivalent of Jonathan Martin a good back up hurry back Marcus Martin

Knowing Roman's play calls and Kap's lack of awareness, we will probably keep throwing at their best CB and completely ignore any mismatch.
