How did Brock get to start? Guy starting got hurt and Brock got his chance. That tells us two things. First bad judgement of talent by Fangio, and second, only way to get in is if guy ahead of you gets hurt. That is so stooopid it hurts. Not knowing what kind of talent you have on a team is criminal. JH is guilty here also. All these guys should get reps, but no, we get up on somebody, and starters all stay in. That shows an unbelievable lack of interest on JH's part in that he doesn't want to know how other guys might play of given the chance. Basing it only on practice is stupid. Sure some guys show great in practice, and then play poorly. Others play poorly in practice and play well in games. But you have to have an interest in finding out what your guys can do, and Coach gets my F- grade for lack of knowing his players potential.

I don't think this is unfair. Gameday subs/rotation are still an issue. If they're in the 46 other than the backup qb they should all be getting a few snaps here & there.

My main issue is that we're not rotating the DL correctly IMO. I think we'll get there but if you ask me, w/Dorsey, Bowman and Aldon out, we need to play the young guys that can get to the QB. Q.Dial is an absolute animal and he only played 4 snaps compared to TJE who played 21, Tank only played 1 snap & that's criminal. We need those guys in on 3rd down rushing the passer. Lemonier and Skuta have not gotten to the passer at all this year, Lynch isn't doing as badly as them, but he isn't doing great either, give these guys a shot.

You know, I like our coaches, but like everything and everyone else in life, from time to time, they need to be re-evaluated. Maybe Trent has other guys in mind, OC, HC, DC, who could come in here and bring fire to this franchise. Yeah Coach H got us to the top or next to the top 3 times now, and that is a mammoth accomplishment. But he seems stuck there, seemingly of a mind that once you get up on someone, you take the foot off the gas and coast home. Real life isn't like that and neither is football. Fangio showed some of the same, esp in 2nd half. "Bend but don't break"...well we bent and we broke...or make that lost.
and then there is his tibs, roman. who can call a good game, but not routinely and not consecutively. He also is wedded to the get up on top and coast home theory. Leave your starters in all game. Give nobody else a shot to show what they can do .As in Brock's case we had the wrong guy starting. Brock was twice the player he replaced. And this b.s. about not getting to play unless guy ahead of you gets hurt...where in the hell did that come from ? Bo Schembechler I bet. So, maybe at yr's end, if this SB bound team doesn't make it, maybe Trent is looking around for coaches with spark, like in Philly. Who knows, maybe Jimbo never gets another team with SF. I doubt that, but if he doesn't get out of the RZ doldrums mold, he may not only not get the contract he wants, but no contract at all. I would hate to see that, but his lack of improvement in RZ, is as bad as ever, he is aware of it, and he has not been able to over come it. Same goes for roman, or HaRo as NCommmand calls them...they are, one and the same. romn calls the plays and jh oks them. Hard to believe sometimes that our OC playcalls are so horribly mundane, so expected, so uniform, so predictable. And we have a great coach. There are some really brite stars out there, Sean Payton(who at 0-2 might just be available), Philly's HC, a number of great D coaches. Somehow, someway, sometime, if our guys don't get it together with the talent TRent has brought in,, he will be bringing in better OC, DC, and maybe HC. Also jimbo may want to go elsewhere. Who knows.
But with the talent assembled to put a product out like last sunday nite....is inexcusable...esp on the home opener of our $1.2 Billion stadium. Now we just need the coaching. thing is, I think all these guys are capable of doing the SB and winning it. They just have to be kicked in the azz and get aggressive, something not seen in our current crop of coaches. Maybe that will change if they don't change themselves.

This seems like common sense and it's something that I remember Bill Walsh used to teach. The dude on the DL is 6'5", 300 lbs and there is no way that they aren't tired by the time the 4th Qtr comes around. Even the DB that is smaller and top shape has to be exhausted after running up and down the field for 3 Qtrs. I don't care how great Patrick Peterson or Dick Sherman is, they must be tired by the time the 4th Qtr comes around.
Another thing is, Cowboy is not getting any younger. We need fresh legs in the game at all times! especially the 4th Qtr!
