Well he hasn't been a punt returner either which is where Hayne has fumbled 3 times and lost one.

I am sure he will be ok soon enough.

The medical treatment and protocols are at top level for these guys.

This is were the nrl took it's lead from when they banned the shoulder charge and some of the other changes.They saw the outcome of the veterans player law suite about concussion and long term degeneration.When the ruling came down there the nrl quickly acted for fear that a precedent was created.I still believe the shoulder charge is a legitimate tackling style and can be used from a smaller mans point of view,defensively
When your a light bloke and 100 kgs is moving fast at you then to protect yourself you have to come from a less then square position.If you come sternum first we are going to see a lot of bad sternum injuries.....ban the shoulder charge to the head but shoulder to shoulder is a fair whack.
