I'm calling no suspension, but they fine him for several games (calling his rehab time a self-imposed suspension, but not letting him keep the money the team paid while he was away). It would have to be an offense worthy of more than 5 games for him to be suspended at all. If Goodell doesn't want to get roasted over his, "It isn't about punishment; it's about changing the behavior" quote, then he should acknowledge that Aldon hasn't done anything more than be impatient with a TSA agent in the last year. If his behavior has already changed, then the punishment shouldn't exceed 5 games. He took an unprecedented step in pulling out of the season to address the only issue that has occurred in the last 2 years.
no suspension, really? i get being optimistic but you also have to be realistic. his rehab stint was cute but he is not escaping suspension all together. he is getting suspended that part pretty much everyone agrees on.

Goodell's still trying to get out from under that Irsay Fiasco. How do you suspend a player whose biggest offense is a DUI, and let a drunk-texting, drunk-driving, booze-flushed disaster of an owner skate? He can easily announce a 4 game suspension, then say that time was served. Do I think it'll happen? Hell, I don't know. Goodell has presented himself as a moody b!tch, who makes decisions with more attention to public opinion and the current saturation of his tampon than to consistency and fairness, so it just depends which day he puts in a ruling. I imagine no news is good news. The longer he waits, the more distance he wants to put between the incidents and the ruling. He could pull a Whitner/Brooks, and just never announce anything.
