By the way. In the video above Lewis is playing against Stephon Gilmore. #10 Overall Pick by Buffalo Bills in 2012.

You probably heard already but if not he tore his ACL and was waived to make room for Lewis.
If you're a NFL prospect and you fail to break into the league, one thing you can't say is that the 49ers didn't give you a chance.
I'd rather see them bring on some lineman for a look rather than another WR who has somewhere between 0 and 0 % chance of making the GameDay roster. How about a nt and maybe a guard/tackle?

@mattmaiocco Wide receiver Lance Lewis was signed to the practice squad to complete the 49ers' activity on the first day the club could start to form its practice squad. Lewis, a second-year player from East Carolina, provided the biggest play of the 49ers' exhibition season with a 49-yard catch from quarterback Josh Johnson on Thursday against the Texans.

wow quick to disregard him guys huh lol
Good luck to him. There is going to be an opening in the next few seasons. Though it will be awhile (2016), there will be a starting spot available on this team and who knows what the pecking order will be by that time. I honestly would prefer someone with great speed (Ted Ginn type of burner).
