Hallf of Fame voting change - Eddie D. should easily get in in the next couple years

The Hall of Fame has finally split off contributors (owners, general managers, scouts, officials, commissioners and other impactful people) from the modern era candidates. For the next five years instead of allowing five max modern candidates and voting on two senior players, they'll have a max of five modern candidates and voting on one/two contributors and one/two senior players, alternating the 1/2, 2/1 split.

That means Eddie D. should waltz in soon, maybe even next year.

The HOF is a joke. Far too many players get in and it just seems like if you were a good player with a long career your eventually going to get in. I agree on Reed. I broke down Reeds stats and on a per season basis they are very average. I will say i know its not all about stats but when a player has been out of the league for awhile thats kind of all you can really look at and use as a barometer. People think Ray Lewis is a first ballot HOFr but he had a pretty big off the field incident not related to football that seems worse to me than Eddie Ds non football related incident. You could make a argument for Terrell Davis. He put up monster numbers in his short career and cant help the fact that injury forced him from the game

hate the fact that we chose to have Lawrence Idiot Phillips pass block for Steve Young.

Williams on the other had, there is a reason he was named to the All Decade team for his era....dude was on the Cardinals and Rams, and was shutting top receivers down. I hated the fact that he went to the Rams, because i knew how good he was.

but yes, the end of his HOF speech annoyed me as well.

I'm furious he is not in he took a team no one ever talked about in a east coast dominated league and brought them 20 years of dominance and 5 super bowl trophies. I have seen others get in for less. Come on we all know why hes not in the NFL and there voters have personal beef with him.

I mentioned it above about Phillips....it still hurts to this day that we had a 17-0 lead with about 20 seconds left in the first half and we are spread 4 wide with that POS as the only help blocker. Dynasty over/HOF career over.....that is why 1999 will always be my least favorite season.
