Kap and some of the first team offense had a whopping 7 possessions in the preseason that led to 3 scoring opportunities. That's a pretty small sample size to be jumping off the ledge with. Further, the idea that our defense is now suddenly decimated to the point we are now some below average unit is hilarious. Not only have we added a ton of young talent to our depth, but we still field veterans that are some of the best in their respective positions (Brooks, Willis, J Smith, and Reid). In fact, even with Aldon and Bowman (two of the best defensive players in the game) out, our LB corps (and front 7) is still among the best units in the game. It's like these knuckleheads are making up excuses out of thin air to justify our downfall they so desperately desire. Obviously, they have no idea of the talent and depth we have on our roster, despite all of our losses. Not saying the game will be a shoe-in as we're playing a dangerous offensive team on the road, but... we haven't been the best team the last three years for no reason. And we've only gotten better.
Amen to that!

I want to see the running game consistently rip off 4+ yard runs and Kap have mid-sixties+ percent passing with no turnovers and with multiple receivers getting mid-to-high double digit yards and scoring touchdowns at least two out of every three times they get into the red zone. Then if the defense looks much like the defense of the least few years, it will be a blow out. I'd love to see a blow out but I'll be happy to see a win with the offense at least looking like it's beginning to jell pretty well and a defense that is top ten even without Aldon Smith and Bowman.
